for me game is still the best multiplayer game to play even solo but I have two complains
- balance can be weird.
- trials of the realm are sometimes absurdly hard to complete
- lack of events like rise of furia or end times
currently its in a stale state of having an average 9-11k players on steam data for the last monts, but not yet in maintenance mode/life support.
Surprisingly Paladins steam population only dropped by around 1k when OW2 and Gundam EVO launched recently.
If a game lasts that long on Aussie servers (or actually has Aussie servers for that matter), it certainly isn't dead on US/EU servers that almost always have a higher gaming population.
Unless your definition of dead means 'not one of the most populated games'.
The game does have a decent player base. The que times aren't long but the match making can be pretty hit or miss at times. My major problem with the game is the amount of afkers and leavers.
