Game itself has been working under linux for a couple years now, the anticheat (eac) does support proton, this is so easy to enable and valves proton developers will take care of the game if it has issues

Have you actually submitted a request for this directly to Hi-Rez? Considering they probably don't read threads on these forums, that might be better than screaming into the wind about it even if it's a good idea.
I've heard from many people that they are aware of the issue but apparently aren't doing anything about it.
I find it funny that Smite2 seems to be running, and that's from the same publisher.
It might be a case of they simply don't have enough devs to deal with it, then, which is why they stopped supporting Paladins on the Switch. They literally took devs from Evil Mojo to work on Smite 2, at least from my understanding of the situation.
