any way to run multiple instances of this game?
beside using sandboxie, obviously, cause that didn't work..
the thing is, i have a workstation program (Aster V7) that creates a virtual workstation at my windows with an extra k/m for my brother to play with me, and my PC is more than beefy enough to run double instances of this games, hell , we play evolve max settings with this thing..
this game is not sandboxie-friendly though, it detects the other instance even from inside the sandbox and denies the launch of another copy, and even if i launch one copy from the inside the sanbox, it comes back with the error " the game is no longer properly authenticated" .
anyone have an experience or a workaround with that?

I would think that games with anti-cheat (i.e. most online games) would have a problem with that.

Have you looked at other VM software though? Something like Unraid might be what you're looking for. I have no experience with it myself but I know LinusTechTips did a video a while about showing it off. It looked quite impressive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXOaCkbt4lI

Within the Paladins EULA[hzweb.hi-rezgame.net], it states:
You may install the Game Software on multiple computers
and/or applicable hardware devices owned by you or under your legitimate control, but you may only play the Software Product on one computer or one applicable hardware device at any single point in time.

So by trying to multibox Paladins would be in breach of the EULA.

EDIT:// Just re-read your original message and realised that I skipped some key details. Bare with me.

So had a think, and I'm not actually not sure how it is that you would be able to do this unfortunately :S. There is a service called HiPatchService that autenticates and looks for cheats etc.

well, i think virtual box (or any virtualization software for that matter) will play it no problem, since it will be a complete separate environment with it's own copy of windows installed and all, but that's exactly the problem, it will take too much resources that way, and that would be a total wase compared to just having virtualized user accounts on the same windows installation like i am doing now..

thanks a lot for the reply and i appreciate you trying to help, so the service is the culprit here, if i some how could launch a separate copy of the service inside the sandbox, maybe that would help! dunno how to do that though, open for suggestions!

Did you ever solve this?

If you will run non steam version of the game, you don't need to use "sandboxie", to run 2 copies of the game, so yeah, it won't be possible with the steam version, however you can do this with non steam version of the game.

Thanks for the reply. Steam is a massive PITA when trying to use Aster!
