I was just looking for threads like this.

If you don't know, this game was in Alpha state for 3 years. So simply Overwatch is a rip-off of Paladins, not only it's price is just too high.

that i really didn't know, i thought because of the release date shown on the storepage that it really was an overwatch clone.
know that i know about it, sorry for blaming the game that it was a rip-off, while overwatch is technicly a rip-off of Paladins.

I can't believe people are arguing over the amount of content between this and Overwatch....

They are both lacking there.

Overwatch is a full price game that has barely any content while this is a free to play game with barely any content.

I own Overwatch and I have this in my Steam library, this is the only one out of the two that didn't feel like it ripped me off.

Overwatch needs a hell of a lot more content before it's worth the price tag they gave it.

It's a free to play game they managed to get money for. I do regret paying full price for it. It's a fun game but nowhere near worth £40.

Every FPS is a ripoff of Wolfenstein then.

Class-Based shooter isn't an original concept.

Blizzard takes a genre and makes a (imo) great game with it.

MOBA is a whole other genre than just that.


It means lanes, minions, towers, jungles and locked classes.

They're both pretty much the same, except Overwatch has a large price tag, which a game like that really shouldn't. Paladins is good because for the amount of content in the game, it should be free.

It's new to steam but people like you keep saying lies before knowing the facts. That doesn't mean it just came out. These guys have quite a few games. Blizz failed with projects and stole from this game to try to make up for titan. Like wildstar stole several things from firefall. A thief is a thief. It's sad that Blizzard had to stoop so low like bottom fish feeders on this one. Yes, the price for overwatch is high. I still play on both but like paladins much more. My friend plays free and simply unlocks other champions with in game currency he earns. It's fair and I like it. Serves to do a bit of research first. :) Happy gaming!

Actually, go check some early gameplay and then go check pre-alpha gameplay.

When Hi-Rez saw Overwatch's popularity, they completely changed the game to ressemble Overwatch. So Hi-Rez IS the one who copied Overwatch. They even admitted that they did so in a Reddit thread pretty recently.

I think of it like this. MOBA's are huge in popularity but at the same time ALOT of people hate mobas because of single game type. Hi-rez made Arena in smite and it was alot of fun. Blizzard sees this and starts coming up with a the new "Hero team shooter" idea at probably the same time Hi-rez is realizing just how awesome arena mode could be as the central focus for a game. That's all conjecture from my point of view. But I do remember both Angry Joe and Totalbiscuit predicting this new genre based off alternate game modes in different games.

Angryjoe is a joke now. Please do not mention him when talking about gaming. He does movie reviews now. Apparently suicide squad is a blockbuster masterpiece.
