switch champions during a game
this game should can switch champions during a game, when team pick 3 flankers 2 snipers and opposing come up with 2 tanks you are ♥♥♥♥ed up.get rekt and never restore.suffering without surrender buttom to press.

switch champions during a game will make game more dynamic.we can always change a plan counter heroes to heroes.or at least let me change champions after i arealdy choosed a hero on lobby screen before game start.so i can play tanker when all of my teammate want to be assassin's wannabe.

I gotta agree. I never liked the concept of locking in characters, especially when there are times a certain character just won't be useful.
It also makes things pretty repetitive, even with short rounds.

No. This would take away a ton of strategy.

what's there to strategize when you don't know who's the enemy picking. in a way, counterpicking itself is a strat, and not having mid-game character switch really limits the strategy that you can take in a game.
Quoting OP, this will make the game more dynamic.

I actually like that you're not able to switch. Makes it easier to know who you're dealing with and what you can do to counter them.
Alpha393 Sep 20, 2016 @ 5:04am
Strategizing as in trying to balance out your team. Look at tf2, everyone is sniper/spy/soldier/scout at the start but gradually other classes filter in as they're needed to counter pick the winning team.

If one team is simply better than the other, they deserve that win. Counter picking ruins that. Oh hey, I hard counter the whole enemy team as bomb King? Their own fault for not having a shield user on hand. And then I get into the match, and I run into Fernando, ruckus, makoa, and barik all in a pile on the point with shields all around, and a Kinessa on a rooftop. That ain't exactly fair is it?

They should simply add a phase in the last 10 seconds of character picking, where you can see the enemies lineup, but you can only switch to another champion one time within that 10 seconds.

So the game starts and everyone picks whatever. It gets to the 10 last seconds and it reveals the enemy team, and it semi locks in your character, so if you pick anyone else, you're stuck with them. So you either have who you originally chose, or you get one chance to change just before the game.

Except... Most people i get matched up with doesn't even pay a single ♥♥♥♥ to team composition, all of them wants to be carries, and have less than 30 objective time, I assume they're CS:GO player rejects :steamfacepalm:
I mean, I love to play tanks, but without team composition, ♥♥♥♥ just go balls, and without the tank to put in some objective time, people would lose in less than 3 minutes..
Some weird dudes just doesn't like to pay any mind to team composition, and when they realized that what they'd done is stupid as ♥♥♥, it's too late to change champions.

And if someone counters your champion pick? just counter them back, switching between champions enables this as well. For me, impromptu theorycrafting and putting it into practice in a live match is where the fun of this game's at.

I think the ability to switch should be added, say If your team keeps getting killed, you could go Pip or Grover. If theres no defense, go Fernando, etc.
It could balance things out a littlebit. Maybe at the cost of credits so you cant just spam counters

If you counterpick their hero, they'll counterpick your hero, and this process repeats itself for the whole game

There is a way to counter heroes without swapping heroes. Rather than ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how you can't counter the enemy team because you can't swap... Why don't you find a way tocounter them instead? DotA2 and LoL doesn't let you swap heroes midgame for a reason, bud. Overwatch does, but there's no loadout or card system at all, it's all about the heroes and their skillset.

Copy the good features of overwatch not the idiotic ones.

Actually, team composition does this.. But who pays any mind to team composition on casual matches anyway? I know I did..... But nobody on my team did :steamsalty:
It's still in beta, so I guess it kinda makes sense in a way, lol
Eridanas Sep 20, 2016 @ 5:43am
We don't need this ♥♥♥♥. There are items and loadouts for countering that ♥♥♥♥.
Spindles Sep 20, 2016 @ 5:49am
The simplicity is what makes it fun for the majority of players, they start adding all that rubbish and it will make it "not fun" like overwatch.

Seriously overatch is dying hard among the casual players, give it a few more month and all that will be left will be a few thousand hardcores.

Strategy of buying items. There are items to counter specific character (increase range of stealth dectection, increase damages against shield / deployable, etc). Who would buy these items if your enemies can just switch character and render your items totally useless?
