To be fair, one doesn't stop the other.

A character can be both sexual and sexualized; there's no denying that sex sells. And I highly doubt the choice to make Seris succubus-ish was accidental/innocent/naive.

Not saying there's anything wrong with that, as far as I'm concerned, but going purely with "She's not sexualized, she's a succubus, it's lore!" seems like a bit of a cop-out to me.

To the overall topic... eh... Paladins' females are a lot less sexualized than in many other games.

That said, again, sex sells and there's an economic/marketing-related incentive to make characters visually appealing to the perceived audience. This is inescapable.

The problem is that the perceived audience for 99% of video games is "young hetero male", regardless of how false that might be.

A hag character (as mentioned previously), if done well, could be totally awesome, though.

And I still want my chainmail bikini Fernando, dammit!
