How To Link/Unlink/Logout/Create An Account

So I've been reading a lot of discussions about how to logout from an account or link one or unlink one or even create a new account, and decided to write this detailed discussion on how to do all of that and I hope that it'll be pinned for so that people won't have to write about the same issue over and over again.

Here's how..

HOW TO LOGOUT FROM/UNLINK AN ACCOUNT

Step 1- Click on this link https://my.hirezstudios.com it will take you to the account page.

Step 2- Enter your login info for the current account that you want to logout from or unlink.

Step 3- Click on Linked Accounts and you will see Steam, click on Unlink Account.

Step 4- Open up the game and you will find that you need to enter your login info, that means you're unlinked/logged out now.

HOW TO LINK AN ACCOUNT

Step 1- Open up the game and login.

Step 2- The game will ask you if you wish to link your account to steam so that you won't have to login every single time you open up the game, accept if you wish to link and you're set.

HOW TO MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT

Step 1- If you want to make a new account, click on this link https://my.hirezstudios.com and click on Create A Free Account

Step 2- Write your Username, Password, Confirm your Password, Your Email and check the box to agree to the Terms of Service, and that you're 13+ years old.

Step 3- You will get a confirmation Email, to the Email you used to create the new account, confirm it.

Step 4- Use the new account to login to the game, it will ask you if you wish to link your Hi-Rez account to your Steam account, which will allow you to login automatically without having to write your login info every time you login, the process can be undone, use the instructions above if you wish to unlink your account.

Works fine for now, unlinked my acc yesterday just out of curiosity, but I'm not sure about 2.01 and after.
" If you unlink an account after it has been merged, all progress and purchases will be removed from that account, and it will essentially become a new, level 1 account."

That might or might not be true, I don't think that they'll do such a thing, unlinking should not be punishing and I believe that they'll keep it like this or they will face a lot of angry players :)

Well, maybe devs can change it, but i won't risk my account after 2.01 lol. I've bought too much of stuff, limited skins and so on.

I prefer not linking my account to steam anyway, cuz sometimes my lil brother uses my steam account to play games and he uses a different account for Paladins :)

Why thanks!, just came back from work to find a bunch of people with the same issue, said why not just make this and hope for it to be pinned so that people would refer to it in case they faced this problem :)

Do you know how to un-link a Nintendo switch paladins account because i linked my switch to my hi-rez account. i played a few round and realized that i didn't like it so i tried to play on my computer again then it showed the "enter player name" screen like its telling to me make a new account. i tried putting in my username but it just said that the name was already taken. i've tried logging out on my switch, i've tried logging out and i've tried customer support but they all did nothing.

please help

You're fine, it's letting you change your IGN for free. I had the same thing pop up and got a free name change when playing from Steam after the Nintendo account link finalized when I used the Switch the first time to play the game before that.

Have you tried logging in with your Switch and seeing if it prompts you for a name change there and allows you to use the IGN you used before? You could always put in a support ticket and see what they say if you really wanted the name you had before, but you didn't lose anything on your account, it's all still there, you're just saving 400 crystals on a name change.
