I will share the solution I found to everyone who have the same problem:
First of all, cancel the current download and close Steam
Go to the Steam folders in
C:/program_files_(86)/Steam/steamapps/common. In that folder you have the data of all your installed games
You have to check if Steam did not deleted the game data. So select the folder of your game (in this case is Paladins) and with right click select properties and see if the file size is 13Gb (or the size of the game in question).
If is according to the game size you can continue and try to fix it, if is not you have to download all again.
Move the file of your game to the desktop for a moment.
Now open Steam again and let it start to install the game. You will see the game in your library. Right click in and uninstall it to clear the data.
Again go to the game and install it, but this time when the download start you will pause it and close Steam.
Now the folder you saved in the desktop you have to move it back to the Steam folder.
Once you moved it you can open Steam again.
It will try to install it but this time it will see the current data and maybe download just a few bytes.
