They want to make sure that if you're in another room you can hear the match queue notification after waiting for 15m.
Doubt that many that don't play will see your weak comment.
But ya it is a nice feature of theirs to let people know easily.
Unless you some how on some weird server, which given your other posts I highly doubt.
I've had Ranked match queues last over 15m. A lot of players have. Especially after they reworked match making in Ranked back to longer queue times instead of faster matchmaking. All it takes is someone not paying attention to have everyone thrown back to queue after not clicking the join button. Enough ppl do that and you get a 15m Ranked match queue timer. My base queue time for ranked is 7-10m. My average queue time for KbM only Siege is 1-3m.
I'm going to point out that you multi-queue with Crossplay enabled, so your queue times will be shorter than if you restricted your match lobbies to KbM only and didn't multi-queue.
Go watch a streamer who is playing KbM Ranked. Go see how long some of their queues are for Ranked. Some literally tab out to play something else or do something else just to pass the time while waiting.
Your in-game experience won't be everyone's and you haven't played enough to have seen everything yet. If you're lucky, you'll never have a queue longer than 30s and always see the best attitudes and players in your matches.
Good on you pointing out it usually only 1-3 minutes though even with your needless restrictions.
dang why they want you deaf?
