Why did they change how viktor looks?

I just came back to paladins after 1.0 dropped and noticed that viktor no longer looks like a cool russian guy but like a korean boygroup member. Anyone know why they did this to him?

Because they got a new main designer

Some people (including me) thought the orignal Viktor looked too modern, honestly just replace his glowly grenade with a modern one and you're done.

His new remodel is great, and fits in the game really well, but they didn't need to change the face, his old face was fine as it fitted the character and lore very well, the new one doesn't do that as well.

If you ask me, that's a totaly new guy. That is not Viktor. Does not fit the voice.
