Found out he works really good with Fernando, especially in Onslaught
This is accurate.
Basically, there are 4-5 primary tanks right now depending on interpretation, Makoa, Fernando, Barik, Inara, and perhaps Ash. Of these, Makoa tends to be the favored one (though I personally regard his position as secured mostly in a two tank setup for reasons) with the other 4 being largely equal in potential performance and simply differing depending on what you need in a tank. Ruckus is the favored secondary tank and actually tends to be picked over the other tanks since you can do well with any one of the other tanks. He's got this position thanks to the massive amounts of damage he outputs, often getting more damage than the damage champions on our team.
The weak link in the tank lineup right now is Torvald. He's competing as a secondary tank, but his low damage output, fairly bad utility, having most of his health as shields (which gets countered by Wrecker and cannot be healed by your support), and nerfed bubble shield (which is his primary useful ability) make him a much weaker secondary tank choice compared to Ruckus or Ash. He has extremely bad falloff in the game as well since he is very hard countered by resiliance. The old guy could definitely use some buffs to get him up to the other tanks.
Other than Torvald the tanks are actually pretty well balanced at the moment.
Forgive them, they dont know what they're saying :)
im gonna guess that this guy might not have acess to the "make this character good" card on account of the massive essence cost and no way to earn it naturally. Tieing the majority of a characters abilities to a random drop loot system that can constantly give dupes is going to have this affect on the average players experience/opinion of how useful some characters are. It also makes it harder to predict what your up against by silouete alone. is this a "counter once and then he dies" Zhin.. or a Zhin who equipped the "have an actual good counter..and then he dies" card.
