after playing this game for about 80 hours, I realized I would have access to alot more features in the game if I decided to spend money. While I understand HiRez is a business and their primary objective is to make money, but I feel as if f2p players don't get the full expierence. Inform me if I am wrong.

After 80 hours and you don't have a clue about how the F2P works here...well, I don't know what to say.

paladins is definitely not p2w, The P2w system was scrapped alltogheter (hinting at back when we had to spend essence for upgrades which gave p2p an advantage).

You can easily rack up gold to buy a new character every 2 days if you do the quests.
The skins are completely cosmetic and give no advantage but letting the players feel pretty and fabulous in battle.

The only thing that can only be purchased with money is cosmetics.

All other things can be farmed and champions get nerfed and buffed all the time (or when they have a new skin lol)

I'm f2p and got the battle pass 2 by saving crystals(Could had also gotten the first one but skins did not interest me)
Thus I now get the full experience which includes 3 cosmetics on champions I play
I'm sure other f2ps do this
Maybe you won't get all new skins but at least you still get free ones by just playing
50 crystals a week if you log in. Enjoy it
Looks at tf2 where there is no way to get free cosmetics aside from the few achievement based items
The mentioned game is considered as a f2p class based shooter
Paladins is based on TF2-mentioned by devs

If you want a p2w game look at mobile games that offers a myriad amount of advantages if you wallet up

Still not pay2win, you can grind for those characters in a reasonable time if you do well enough, even so free characters are just as good as any character if you know how to play them. If it were truest p2w then the only way to get the best champions would be ONLY through money

I have 80 hours (not really that much tbh) but I just unlocked comp, I find it sort of boring saving up, to get characters, the coin rewards from the battle pass are really spread out, so I had a bit of trouble getting characters. Im sorry if I'm a "gorm" but having to grind for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ week to get a new character when someone who buys a champion's pack doesn't ever have to worry about farming for character seems unfair to me. I'd rather get my windows back and just go back to overwatch.

Then it's pay2skipgrind rather than p2w. Sure it can seem discouraging to see people who invested money have access to all champs but if you play enough and win enough you should have enough for a good amount of champs, you don't really need them all. Just the necessities
