Back to the broken AI. Here's a good example from the match I played earlier tonight:

Makoa stayed wedged in the roof all game and Grover was riding into a wall 90% of the time.
Why is this even allowed to be a thing someone would have to deal with?
All I really want to know, I guess, is this:
Is fixing this buggy AI not a priority because the devs are focusing fixing/balancing the game for their real money maker, the E Sports league, or is this buggy AI that hard to fix?
The exact reason is less important than the act of knowing the reason. I can deal with what ever the reason is but as someone who has invested in this game, I feel that I have a right to know.
With how long it's been going on, I feel the answer is they're focusing on the rebalancing the game for E Sports (which I couldn't possibly care less about even if I tried). In which case, I, as an individual who doesn't play PvP because of health reasons, feel that my money was taken and I was given a pat on the head and a condescending "don't worry, we'll fix it someday. Now shut up and buy some crystals to gamble with...I mean buy loot crates....yeah...because that's totally different."
It's just frustrating as hell and I feel like people who don't (or in my case can't) play PvP are being shafted.

He stayed wedged in the roof all game. Why is this a thing?
You actually believe that? lol gg
But, in reality, it is as simple as programming doesn't make as much money as selling new skins and bundles, so it is low priority.
Though, God, do I hope to be proven wrong and I will eat my foot with gusto!
Just found out that this game is built on the Unreal 3 engine. Same as MANY other games that DON'T have crap AI. What's REALLY "killing" me is that I'm writing a mod for Killing Floor 2 (Unreal Engine 3) and I've got a pretty good understanding of the code structure and functionality so if I could get to the damn Paladins files, I could probably fix them or at the very least try to...but they're locked server side. Not to mention then my game would fail the checks and be seen as "out of date" by the check routine and would update to be broken again. Normally the modder community would fix the dev's fubars but in the case of these games, we're locked out and at the mercy of money grubbing bureaucrats that hold the whips that drive the coders.
Hopefully, they are going to focus their "The Hunt" on bots in one of the patches just as they are promosing to do on terminus in 2.02
Even if the player never came back they aren't worth having.
