To me he is jsut like ash, an aggressive tank with some tankyness.
If they really care about newbies cries then why don't they delete lex , zhin , wormhole , royal subjects etc there are more to nerf then simply going after my girl😢😢
I think the changes are good because a more normalized Skye will not only be easier to play against but easier to play as, imo - right now as a not super experienced Skye player it isn't always clear when vision is going to be obstructed, so replacing it with a mechanic already in the game rather than some very specific mechanic that only exists on that one skill makes it more useable in a lot of ways. I don't think there's really any way to know until we see it - but it seems like it will actually be more useful as a defensive ability as the personal stealth lasts longer and the healing card can be reapplied (it seems).
The problem with many good Skyes was that even illuminate didn't help much due to the inconsistent behaviour of the LOS/stealth mechanic which is what has been addressed in the new patch. Now that's out of the way, we won't struggle much against Skyes taking advantage of a broken/incomplete stealth mechanic. The new update to her smoke screen seems more polished.
skye is op n annoying
Not to a point where other worthless champions can beat her without much effort.
If anything needs a good nerf, that is strix, kinessa, Moji crap and koga needs a good damage rebalance again.
For now, I suppose we have a consensus that those changes are a nerf, not a buff.
From what I see, @Von Arlin is the only one who says otherwise - the smoke bomb stealth reactivation and healing could make Skye better.
I also agree with you that these changes will make Skye more predictable in all areas - Debilitate will become the only viable legendary, Skye will now only rely on "raw" stealth and in order to counter that, people will only have to spend 450 credits for Illuminate 2 (which is more than enough to spot Skye before she raeches her effective combat range). Since now people will be able to combine Illuminate with other defense cards, there will be less of a dilemma regarding whether to sacrifice Haven/Resi and get Illum. Countering Skye will now be pretty straightforward, especially for somewhat experienced players.
Here's a question for you guys.
Unlike other flankers, Skye has neither vertical nor horizontal mobility. Hell, even most damagers and tanks have a way to dash, jump, fly, etc. Not Skye. Unpredictability was the only thing that used to allow me to get kills as Skye (I'm a natural level 70 Skye, played her since the beginning).
My question is - what do you think guys, maybe it would be a better idea to replace smoke bomb with a grappling hook or something that would give Skye the ability to climb and/or move around?
Because as some of you pointed out earlier, Skye is now more damager than ever (thanks to the increased magazine size cards and vulnerability to Illuminate). What are your thoughts?
