Maybe but you make them waste a lot of credits on bulldozer instead of cauterize or reju
.
So if you have shield tanks don't pick someone like vivian who will loose her shield asap, and people buying to counter item it, are also effectively counter item.
So with Imani, dont pick her if your tank is Inara/Barik or your healer is Ying or Io since the over lap will lead to them losing their constructs quickly reducing their strength.
Imani is mid-range/long range champ. Her kit is about distancing and only has one good CC move that the good flankers can just wait out. (Evie/Zhin/Androxus/Moji).
Splitting Ice is prob the best of the the three, as it allows you to harass multiple people with caut. Also with characters like ying can remove their images healing her. It also allows you to focus constructs and punish people with bad placement.
Like any dips Cauterize should be your first and most important item
Then depending on the tank pick an item to counter them out.
Rejuvenate is prob a good third pick if you're sticking with the tank/healer.
Then pick a damage shield to the most annoying damage pick they have.
Pyromania is alright, but requires you to hit consecutive shots. Mana rift is sorta eh, it's more for the fireball burst to shields/walls. Since 2k isn't enough to kill most, and good flankers which are your bane can see the rift and start the fight with a counter most likely reflecting (or in any case reflecting 2k right into your face).
Cards I would recommend in self presevation (Max hp/Shield at low hp/Movespeed from your out) are better if you're playing as a team and can trust your healer.
Her cards are hard because there is builds for good teams, and builds when your team is ♥♥♥♥. and will have to be self reliant
To start, I always play ultra aggressive in the beginning. Using Frostfire Glide to get to a vantage point is a must, if no place is available, glide over the center and use Inferno Cannon- it maintains your X axis in midair and provides great maneuverability. Once it's done and you've killed at least one champ, get cover, switch to ice, use frost bomb- be defensive here or aggressive depending on enemy placement.
From here, being aggressive doesn't pay off. I try to stick to tank/healer, always using the ice ability at a distance with splitting ice. The damage she can deal is unreal. When both inferno cannon and frost bomb cool downs end its rinse and repeat.
Her ultimate- most people even low levels are really starting to pick up on her defenselessness and kill her seconds after using her ult no matter where you hide You have one of two options IMO- use it close to your spawn as long as it doesn't take too long to get to the action, making the enemy really extend to kill Imani, or use it dangerously(yes) close to the enemy, preferably right next to healer or tank, and blast them point blank. This sounds risky, because it is, but hardly anyone expects it, and if you keep your dragon low, you basically become Super Saiyan Moji. Who doesn't like Super Saiyan Moji?
So far it's working for me, your mileage may vary. XD
If there's a very high-mobility champion in your match on the opponent team, prioritise killing them first - they'll almost always come to stop you, and remember that you can cancel using your ultimate by pressing your ultimate key again in case things go south.
I usually default to Imani's fire stance. It's extremely powerful and plays a little like Sha Lin. It's not often used as people tend to stick to Ice for general attacks, but if you get the hang of it, you'll be dealing far nastier single-target DPS, which has been more reliable for me than throwing snowballs between people - the bonus is that flanks stop trying to attack you because you can two-shot a lot of them. Being hit by 1k damage all of a sudden on squishy characters tends to force a player into panic-GTFO-mode. You of course take Pyromania if you use it as often as I've been using it. You can dance with some average snipers with fire, as long as you use your cover while charging shots. Good snipers will still beat you.
I don't know/care really what people think are meta for her cards, I just know that mine have been effective since I revamped them - that is, I built her deck around Frostfire Glide (longer-lasting, faster travel speed.) It enables you to use it as a getaway skill, a little bit like Evie, albeit without as much vertical manoeuvrability, and you can use it to get into positions that you'd be unable to on other champions.
Maybe stick some healing on Elemental Shift and some cooldown and you're good to go. Just fill the rest.
- Reduce the cooldown of elemental shift, At level 5
- Elemental shift reduces the cooldown of Giant Ice ball thingy / Flame Kamehameha (i cant be bothered to remember the names), At level 4
- Elemental shift redues the cooldown of Ice hoverboard thing , At level 4
then just, filler cards
Also, im struggling a lot with the Ice stance projectiles, Unlike the Flame fireball, which ive quickly gotten pretty decent at landing, they dont go where my crosshair is aiming, rather a bit to the left or Right depending on what arm she uses
Any tips for that?
