Paladins for Switch Question-Offline Play?
So obviously with the Switch’s pick up and go nature, it is heavily implied that you won’t have an internet connection where ever you go with it compared to a smartphone. So my question is since Paladins is coming to the switch, is Hi Rez going to bother implementing an offline mode where you don’t need to be connected to Wi-Fi to play? Like against bots? One of the beautiful things about the switch is how you can play games any time and anywhere and it would suck if someone put a game on a console that is designed to work only online. I mean splatoon 2 solves this problem well, you on your own with no Wi-Fi? Great! We have an awesome campaign mode for ya. Will Paladins have any offline content to it at all? As someone who doesn’t have a stable internet connection, this is crucial to me and if the answer is no, perhaps Hi-Rez should really rethink how they approach a console that is designed to accommodate both offline and online functionality as well as the choice of players of how, when, and where players play their games. It isn’t a PC where stable internet is (almost) common place, it isn’t a smart phone where you usually have some built in internet access even if you’re on the move, and if Hi-Res and any other companies think always online games will work out well on the Switch, they’re going to be in for a surprise

I dont think so. Eventhough Switch gimmick is you can play anywhere, that probably just for single player games, multiplayer games, may or may not playable offline, depends on the dev. For Hi-Rez, I think it's too much for their plate right now.
