Why can't I just play ranked games already ??

I'm 16 lvl, and have 10 champions + 4 from rotation, 14 available total, it says 14 needed, should be enough for picks and bans. I purposely bought cheap ones to play ranked games, as casual gets boring when whole team plays dmg/flank, chasing enemies, not caring about objective.

It seems like game doesn't let me play. Do I have to really own 14 champions ??

The rank system is ok and point of it is to prevent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like you playing ranked while not even knowing basics of the game.

You need to own them because the teams are going to ban 4 champs +you are going to be the last one to pick, so ...

(4bans + 9picks = 13 champs that you can't choose in theory)

I know how to play already and I'm not a kid chasing frags. Having entry level for ranked games is a good thing, in RL for example anyone can go straight to ranked and is awful experience for the rest. In Paladins it seems to be exaggerated to the extent, in my case I would have to gather another 120k gold only to buy 4 next cheapiest champions, which is crazy amount of gold and time to be spent only to get access to ranked games ...

I get the system, you said 4 bans +10 picks equals 14 needed. In LOL you can use champions from free rotation, I thought it would be the same here, but it looks like is a crazy grind to get to play ranked games.

Yep it's is a hard grind for free players and when you finally can queue for comp, the saddest part is that your roll is going to be what is left, so I hope that you enjoy play as tank or healer until you get a better TP.
(or you are going to be trolled, badmouthed, if you chose a flank when a tank is needed)
