What i done mostly when playing Ying is to use most of her illusion not just to heal but to tank by blocking the line of fire..mostly againts snipers or just damager..since those illusion can soak up decent amount of damage.
But yeah..i agree that her illusion heals need to be buffed..they really weak compare to the rest of the supports.
If anything you will want to be more concern of what that ying user will do to your teammates when things get more chaotic.
Out of all the medics in paladins I still prefer her as she will get the job done at the right spots on the fields.
I never she isn't good...for me i prefer her more then any other supports due to her ultimates..it benefits for everyone mostly when i quee with teammates that locks 4 flankers.
Only problem i have (same with OP) that her illusion heals way to bad compare to any other healers...since she heals a portion instead burst heals..its seriously weak againts cauterize even at lv2 .
And all her legendary card not helping at all on her problem as a supports, Lifelike is terrible by reducing the amount of heals even more, and Life Exchange is really useless since you cant create at least 2 illusion fast enough to burst heal your allies in a point to avoid him/her from death.
With my legendary i heal 2 players at once and with chrono > correct placement > team that knows when to pull back a little you can keep everyone alive. With a Ying knowing what he/she's doing it makes a big difference and imo one of the best healers.
Also the ULT is a game changer when placed correctly. Also knowing how the teleport system works you can actually stay alive a lot which results in more heals.
TALK ABOUT HER ULT THO. i just played her recently (im a lvl 12 ying) and it was SO satisfying ulting right before/after seris cast her ult! definite game changer where everyone went to almost being wiped out by her ult then seeing everyone get healed and proceed to chase after the enemy.
imo she is definitely weaker than other supports. i can never get as much healing with her as i can with other supports but she is still fun to play. a healing buff would be nice
Maybe because:
- Her illusions heal you randomly
- Are time limited
- Get destroyed easily with or without Bulldozer
- Get hard countered by Causterize
- Can only have 2 of them at once
- Need to be placed correctly to be efficient most of the time both at healing and damaging
- Legendaries can either make you a healer or a damager but both playstyle cannot be played at the same time or you need to be pretty damn good.
- Tanks can just rely on her heal only when she ult
and many more...
When I got a Ying in my team, I rarely win and end most of the time in a lose cause the healing and damage from her were inconsistent. When I play Frontline and I see a Ying in my team, I usually do myself a favor and buy ASAP Veteran cause I don't trust Yings player
Ill add more.
-Her escape mechanics is poorly design..and most of the time she ended up dead anyway
-Lowest attack range support champions by far (means unlike other support champions she cant do a better job when it comes cover firing)
-Shatter illusion most of time detonated more quicker then actually hitting their target (even when not expiring or get destroyed)
-The only support without CC.
-Ultimate dependant means Ying players had to make a choice between Chronos or Morale Boost (Which both is extremely important)
I think you missunderstood the word *healer*
