Deserter Penalty

so i just cameback playing this game my last played was 2018 november and i decided to play again a casual match , the game decided to crash and after i logged in again i received a 30 minutes deserter penalty , i was like really? after how many months of not playing i get this even in casual match , its amazing they still didn't changed that system like the quit is not even intentional anyways i hope that system changes or maybe my opinion is irrelevant , anyways just sharin' my experience

I just got the 30 mins deserter penalty,too. I was queuing for classic match and the queuing status was missing ( the X icon) and I relogged in just to be punished by the fail system.

This and delays for EU players have not been fixed since steel forged was released, and it makes playing the game a pain in the back.

I legit have not played in 3 weeks or so because I kept getting 30 minutes of wait time because I physically could not pick a champion in the lobby, since the selection delays were longer than the match count down, so the game thought I didn't pick anything and kicked me out.

Believe it or not, some people are actually okay with the state of the game.

Just got the same thing. Last night could play without any delays and lags, now it's horrible again.

And no this isn't just an issue on my end. It is widespread amongst EU players and the devs are aware of the issue but have said they don't know how to fix it.

I do no magic. DIY guy. I know a lot about windows, building my own pc, i love to learn things myself, such as video editing and more.
Can we read the words the words of the developers? Share some links maybe.

I understand it as long waiting times, but not as disconnect because of poor connection or other issues.

It directly affects deserter penalty as the delays make your actions in the lobby so slow that you cannot pick anything before the timer runs out, thus making the game think you were idle and giving you the penalty.

Aside from that, there is another issue that is not really talked about by the devs, but there are many instances of players finding a match and then getting penalized for no reason, with the game stating that they have left the game. (Keep in mind that finding a match and getting into the lobby is automatic and the player can't interact with anything when this happens.)

I'm aware of other players issues. Sometimes it's about underpowered pc, let's face the truth, not everyone can afford very good gaming pc.
Sometimes may happen overused connection by many at home.
Even isp (internet provider) may affect our experience.
Not everyone is pc geeks and can do mistakes.
Of course, server side issues could be as well.
My point of view - Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. But, i understand what other feel when it's impossible to play, and sometimes helping others, spending my free time instead of doing something else.
Online gaming is very complicated.

I can assure you in this case that these are not issues on user ends - I know a lot of people that have the same problems with top tier gaming setups and bad setups alike.
Not to say mine is bad, it's actually quite good and I never had any issues running games (same with my internet).

These problems are 100% game and developer related.

Then please explain to me, why i can play without any problems, but someone, who live, let's say in Algeria, almost always getting deserter because their isp and services from stone age.
