If you are not skilled with her then she can be really bad, as mike said. But that doesnt mean anything nor does it answer your question d: use whatever character you have fun playing with!

The only real tip I can give is to try not to use smokescreen only for yourself. It is best used in a strategic place so that the entire team can benifit from being hidden.

if you want ideas for a good card build then you can click the "import" button on the loadout screen, click import from leaderboards, and you can look through what all the pro players are using (:

EDIT: OH and on when you use your ultimate ability people will hide behind the payload and not get damaged by it. always place the bomb on TOP of the payload ^^

EDIT again: I forgot to mention that your right mouse button dart attack is best used on targets with high HP like makoa or fernando. The more hp they have, the more damage they take. And NEVER buy aggression when playing skye! Deft hands tends to be one of the best items she can use. Haven/blast shield works good as well to give you a slight edge in the 1v1 fights you will be getting into often while flanking, plus it keeps sha lin from 2 hitting you.

EDIT 3: One last thing. avoid bomb king if you are near a place he can use his poppy bomb to send you off the map! She doesn't have any ability to counter it so once she is in the air she is dead.

As an assasin, flank, gank priority or low health targets, and cackle madly as you smoke to run away. Smoke build, fight around the point, and use it as suggested above. Stealth build, get in right up to their back and fire away.

Shes not a tank, but a hit and run glass cannon, to be played on the sides and rear. Only pick fights you can win, or enemies that are distracted.

Overall, a very high tempo character. Very rewarding when done right, and very punishing when done wrong.

It's just that alot of the times she will be beat in a 1v1 against the ones she is flanking. Kinessa beats her easy
And if a team stays even remotely together then skye's entire kit falls apart and stops working (even the ult can stop working)

Yeah she is easy to kill. That's the price for being stealthy. She's good for distraction though.

0. Don't Overcommit. This is a golden rule so few people follow. As a Flank, your job is to steal kills from damage and frontline players, you should hunt down people running away with 1/5 of HP, you should be disturbing the enemy from behind and be the most annoying thing they will ever face, if you lose half of your HP, run away.

1. Always think of a way of getting away before engaging.

2. NEVER forget to start with your left click, your left click shots 3 pellets and each one increases your damage by 5%, so you get a 15% damage bonus on a target with reduced healing who is already getting hurt by the pellets.

3. Use the cooldown on kill card. That way you have a real chance of escaping after getting a kill.

4. ALWAYS check if someone has an item to counter your invisibility.

5. Remember that enemies can hear your footsteps and the weird horn noise she does.

6. Invisibility =/= invincibility.When you go invisible to disengage, players can still hit you, specially Viktor.

7. Your smoke screen is not just another cloak, it obstructs the enemy sight, which can be really helpful for both, obstructing their sight towards your team and also when you are about to attack someone.

That doesn't answer his question and he is allowed to play any character he wants. Skye can do well in some situations.

He came here looking for ways to play better with her, which is great. He is taking the time to learn about her instead of being one of the noobs people always complain about in their games. This type of behavior should be encouraged - not dismissed by telling someone to pick something else. Would you rather he play her and suck or get tips and play her well? People are always going to play skye.. All we can do is help them be better at it

All the characters can be great if you are skilled with them. Some more than others.. but it's still true.

Skye was the first flank created in the game; and it shows. She doesn't have an easy way to get behind the enemy (Invisibility is ruined by Illuminati or just paying attention).

To be good with her; you pretty much do the same thing as all flanks; Ambush them while they are under attack and be extremely annoying. Run away if your health gets low; and when your Ult is ready, leap into the enemy team and let the bomb go. You'll get several kills or at least clear the cart temporarily.

Still; Skye is considerably easier than all the other flanks, and is super weak if caught off guard. Compared to the others (Buck can make an escape, Androxus has reflect damage, and Evie has her ice Prison).

I'm not saying she doesn't have her flaws ^^ I just don't like people telling someone to play something else when all they are doing is asking for ways to play a character more effectively

One thing I do like about her is she has one of the highest movement speeds in the game with the right cards. I find her very easy to flank with o: she just need to make sure her abilities are recharged after each attack

Using F to approach your target and the bomb to exit combat or deceive other players, mastering the bomb skill. Also, I think the cards with reload time after RMB was used and stealth movement speed are a must.

Don't take anything from self-obsessed naysayers if it's your character, your playstyle and you perform better with it.
