Strix ult = epilepsy trigger
Strix's ult is a huge epilepsy trigger. Not when you are playing Strix, but when another Strix player does the ult on you.

Would it be possible for an option to disable this for those of us who are sensitive to flashing light?

I love this game and would seriously hate to have to stop playing because of this.... :(

EDIT: Not saying that I should be immune, just that it should be altered. Maeve's ult also has the same intended gameplay effect as Strix's ult, but it doesn't trigger seizures for me because it's 1) black, not blindingly bright, and 2) much more gradual.

I mean it is part of the game, I would suggest it not to be such as bright

There is no way they'll allow some players to be immune to his ult. but perhaps they can implement some option to change how it looks while still blocking visability.

Resilience counters it hard

Turn down your brightness when it happens? (computer brightness not game brightness)
Zireth Aug 23, 2017 @ 6:48pm
Just make it a even closer Maeve ult look. Problem solved.

@MLg_Sn3k - You're joking right? it happens extremely quickly. That's the entire problem. Way too quickly for me to even have time to change the settings on my monitor.

If it happened slowly enough for me to have time to open up the settings on my monitor and turn down the brightness, the ult wouldn't even be a problem in the first place. It's the fact that it's so sudden that makes it a problem.

Yes I would be fine with this.

Can you handle CS flashbang effect? I think it is similar

edit : I think this is a good cause to tone down that brightness btw

aw... I'm sorry to hear this. I know it's pretty dangerous to epilepsy sensitive people, you can turn down your gamma level I think.

They should just put a warning notice (like many other games with flashes) that some people might get epilapsy or seizure or something when playing the game.

I'd suggest putting this on the official forums, better chance of Hirez seeing it I think. But an option to invert the flash would be great to have in general.

Yeah. a solution for me would be that the effect would only have the white screen and sound, and not have that effect appear with the "flash" sudden effect.

If it's an epilepsy trigger, then there should be at least an option in the settings to change the bright white color of this ultimate to black instead. The effect would be the same, but harmless I guess.

This is a pretty easy problem to solve as the great ideas above show.

So is his ult an actual epilepsy trigger, or are you just complaining about a flashbang effect?
Theanine3D Aug 23, 2017 @ 9:07pm
It is an epilepsy trigger.

I wouldn't be complaining if it didn't affect me.
