honestly this champion has been out for a few hours... once experienced players learn to really play him... it will be op has ♥♥♥♥... he has insane stealth mechanic and tons of damage and a massive ultimate that wins team fights on its own, strix will definetly be one of the top 5 characters used if not number one in most pro play...

just the ability to strike anywhere for kinessa damage on the battlefield without having to show itself to the enemy is already massively op...
stealth, shoot, stealth, relocate, shoot, stealth, shoot, relocate... you cant keep track of him and when he comes out of hiding someone is pretty much dead or close to it, and if you see him he can still stealth back out of the fight...
Thats what illuminate is for not to metion while people will learn to play him we will learn also how to conter him.

I find him extremely powerful, his pistol can punish any 2000-3000 health hero, and his sniper is just plain op at times

Sha ling needs to charge for 1000 damage.
Kinessa needs to charge for 1200 damage (plus extra for headshot).
Strix does 1300 damage right away (plus extra for headshot).

Is this a joke?
However Kinessa has a movement ability while Strix doesn't
Strix is fine and fun to me. Kinessa is a pathetic waste now. She used to be fine, fun and fair and I would play her frequently but in recent times she has just become garbage that Hi-Rez refuses to fix. Sure in professional play she's alright, but in proffesional play people also stand on the point and heal their team. That doesn't always happen in normal Paladins. Now with Strix I see very little reason to pick Kinessa. Hi-Rez, could you rework Kinessa to make her useful again?

Yep,Strix>Kinessa.
But if Strix-counter pick for Kinessa everything OK.
And pistol can challenge Makoa, need nerf.

nope, no one can challenge Makoa.... Except Drogoz, he could even challenge God, but that''s ok

I have found Strix to be another kinessa. He's easy to flank and so my Androx just eats him time and again. that's my initial impressions anyhow. His escape method with invisible sounds nice but literally anything takes him out of it. One hit from Androx... one hit from Ying, takes him out of stealth. And is amazing the amount of people running around trying to close range with his pistol and dying in and instant.

CS AWPER in a nutshell. Feels weird on a game like Paladins, but good players will wreck matches easily with him. Kinessa's down time aiming is something out of TF2, how do you balance a weapon that can instakill at distance? You ramp up the damage while scoped so that you'll lose periferic vision and can't defend from flankers. Strix can straight up walk -> aim -> shoot -> kill and do something else.

On another hand, we can now have 2 snipers on one team... I'll step away from the game for a few months.

good Strix wrecks low health champs pretty hard and tend to be untouchable.
bad Strix is a huge liability to the team and makes flankers happy.
Sounds familiar...

But honestly good Strix+other sniper in a team is pretty hard to fight against, since attentions will be drawn to the other sniper and Strix can freely take a shot then sneak around to change vantage point.

One thing though, is his cocking sound effects supposed to be audible for everyone in the match?
I keep hearing them even when i'm nowhere near a Strix...
