How does pips ult work?

The description of pips ult is "Throw a flask that deals 200 damage and turns enemies into chickens with 1500 health for 4s. Victims are returned to their previous state when the effect ends."

The part Im questioning is the part thats says it deals 200 damage. What is the point of this if they just turn into a chicken with 1500 health? Bc everyone who gets hits turns into chicken right? Does that mean the chickens have 1300 health? If so, why the chickens even get the 1500 health? If no, does that mean it just does 200 damage to their hero when they are returned to their "previous state"?

Maybe they did that so Pip always assists each chicken kill.

if noone hits the chicken, enemies will be returned to normal state with 200 less health... So the 200 damage play a role AFTER the ult ends
