The APU is a low level CPU/Integrated GPU, so the 5450 is a SMIDGE better but not by much.
-
And your ping has nothing to do with your GPU.
-
As for if you did the right thing, id have to say no, depending on how much you paid for that GPU.
You would have been much better off getting a GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti at the most, but i assume you got the 5450 for hella cheap so eh..
-
But yeah, as long as its working better than before then yes you did the right thing, but wrong choice of GPU is all.
-
Next thing you really need to do is upgrade your RAM to 8GB, 4GB is really the bare minimum these days. You'll see an increase in performance in everything with 8GB.
Because having your CPU process graphics on top of everything else is almost always inferior to just using a dedicated graphics card. Much less when it's a relatively weak dual-core CPU from 2013. Putting in a dedicated graphics card means the card is processing the graphics instead while the CPU handles everything else.
Did you already have the GPU? I hope you didn't go out and overpay for that as it's a really old and outdated card (2009). Otherwise yes, you did.
I'm using an HD7750 (another outdated card) and I get a steady 120fps for the most part, occassionaly momentary dips down to 30fps due to poor game optimization.
The graphics in this game are very low by modern standards. You'll probably be fine so long as you aren't using some early 2000's card or a laptop that doesn't even have a card.
i think i gotta change this graphics card?
does anyone have suggestion?
and what's GPU? hehe sorry... is this the one AMD A4-6300?
GPU is Graphics Processing Unit, also known as a "Graphics Card". It is specifically designed to calculate graphics.
AMD A4-6300 is a CPU.
HD5540 is a GPU.
I would suggest you go out and buy a more modern card like the GTX 750 TI or GTX 1050. These are low end cards that will still manage to at least run most modern games, and they're only like $40-$60. You should have absolutely no problem getting 120fps with one of those cards.
