also, i prefer to use a steering wheel, because it has a more direct touch. with keyboard keys, it always happens that you will either lose speed in a turn, or accelerate too quickly, i want to stay on an equal speed, so i use pedals.
i want to go with the direction of the road im riding on, so i use a steering wheel. i hate it to press a keyboard button the whole time once every second just so i can follow a turn. i prefer to move my steer a little to the left or right so i can ride smoothly.
Yes, they have to learn that they can't just remove a important thing from a game. If you still buy it they will just say "Hey we can do whatever we want, they will buy it anyway".
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Old games like GTR 2 have cockpit view too. Forza 3 has cockpit view, Grid 1 had cockpit view, Colin Mcrae DiRT had a cockpit view too. Even Project Torque have cockpit view. Shift is not the first game with cockpit view. Cockpit view is something that every racing game should have.
Just go to the forza motorsport forum and ask them if they would be the next game if it doesn't had cockpit view. http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/Forums/ They will probably ignore you because they think you are trolling.
No you're the moron.
They are just bullshiting us and you guys believe them.
I think the handling and wheel support will be something special in Grid2. We'll see. ;)
But I'm pretty confident someone will make a camera hack (or rather an XML edit) and we'll have a basic cockpit camera.

Because this thing is the new official wheel:

... or they should both be listed if they're both supported (I can vouch that the Wirless Racing Wheel worked in Dirt 2 & 3 really well).
It does? With force feedback?
Cool, I was planning on picking that up. Will I need to also have a wireless reciever for my PC (like the one that comes with the 360 Windows controller) to use the wireless wheel?
Edit: nevermind, these folks answered my question. http://amazon.com/gp/community-content-search/results/ref=cm_cr_dp_srch?query=pc&idx.asin=B0050SY0L2
