Please try deleting the “_cache” folder from the game folder.

You can find the place where the folder is located by going to the tab with our game on Steam, clicking on the “cog” on the right part of the screen and selecting "manage files". After clicking this name, the number of space occupied by the game will appear at first place and the “Browse” button will be visible, click it. It will take you directly to the folder with the game.

still noting happening when I click the play button on steam
tried uninstalling then deleting the remaining files from the folder before reinstating

Which cache folder do you mean? I have 3 cache folders, one in MyCom Games, one in MGLauncher and one in AWLauncher.

I deleted the "_cache" folder the game loaded, Closed the game and it won't open again

its been confirmed in the latest news that the new launcher does not work on Windows 7 and 8 (had the epiphany that might be the case today, nice to get a quick answer)

hopefully there will be a fix soon

That's very unfortunate. I just got back into playing this and reached tier 6 only to have this happen a couple days later. I'd love it if companies stopped locking older games away from players on those platforms which originally could run their games.
