Game unplayable
Ever since I upgraded my PC the game became unplayable, game often freezes for seconds during battles when I exit sniper view and I can barely hit 30FPS meanwhile I could get stable 60FPS most of the times on my previous configuration using the same graphics settings. Previous config: Ryzen 2700, 16GB RAM, RX 580 8GB, current config Ryzen 5600, 32GB RAM, RX 6600 XT with SAM enabled. drivers are all up to date, latest DX and got all VC++ installed. Any solutions?

try back to older graphics diver, sometimes helps, check it.
i lost count of how many times my sudden gaming performance problem was solved by running a "sfc /scanall" command in the prompt with admin rights.

if it reports errors found and fixed them reboot the game and try again.

"DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"
is another useful one

finally, if all else fails, i definitely recommend giving DDU a go:

Apparently RDNA GPUs don't work well with this outdated cryengine that the game uses. That's why my GPU usage is around 10-20% and that's why I barely get 30FPS, there's a dodgy work around for this that requires some modding, which includes forcing the game to use Vulkan API instead of DX, but that causes rendering issues... The only fix for this would be if the devs updated their game engine to a newer version of cryengine or moving to UE.

There have been numerous discussions here over the years about people with AMD Radeon cards having serious issues with the game. AFAIK there has never been a satisfactory solution found, which sucks for the Radeon users, but that's the reality of the situation.

FWIW, Nvidia GeForce cards don't seem to suffer from the same issues. If you have a Radeon card and the game runs well with it consider yourself lucky.

Great... 500+ hours wasted.
i have an i5-4790k, 32GB, RX 6700 XT. which is an upgrade from 2x970 SLI due to AW silently dropping support for SLI.
my average gameplay is just over 60 fps.

sometimes when i have a ton of browsers open on another monitor to watch youtube or netflix between matches and don't close it when in match in bigger missions fps can drop to about 25fps temporarily.

imho, its still playable for a non fast pace game that is AW.

that said i didnt know about the mod possibility to increase fps, so i'll look into that.

Here's how to mod the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSOKBw0rK64

I just looked at the github and it seems that the dxvk has been updated a lot since the youtube video, I'm thinking about giving it a shot. Either way good luck.

Update: I downloaded the game again, copied DXVK into the game's directory as shown in the YT video, launched the game, set everything to max settings and loaded into a PVE battle, the game ran MUCH better, I was only getting stutters as things happened for the first time, after about 1 minutes 30 sec the game maintained a stable 60FPS. I could enter/exit sniper view without any issues. I'll update this discussion if things change for worse, but so far so good.

PS: To avoid potential dxvk installation confusion since the YT video is old here's how I did it.
1. download the latest version of dxvk from github, link is in the video's description ( dxvk-2.2 is the current version as of writing this )
2. copy all of the DLLs from the dxvk x64 folder and paste them in steamapps / common / Armored Ware / Armored Warfare / bin64 folder
3. have fun!

This is not meant to dissuade anyone from trying this out, but i wanted to share my experience with the mod patch.

As mentioned earlier, my pre-patch performance was bearable.
60+fps being the average, with a rare drop to ~25 when gameplay got extra busy.
Even through it dropped, it was still perfectly controlable and playable.
Just not silky smooth motion.
With that in mind i tried the patch.

Good news:
The GPU utilization now does indeed get to 98+ and stays there through out game play.
The patch does appear to fix the GPU utilization from being stuck around 50-60%

Bad news:
Drops in FPS not only still occur, but they occur not when there is a lot going on in the game, but when i flip back and forth between 3rd person drive mode, and sniper mode to aim and shoot. Its not consistent. It happens maybe every 1/4 of switches. but the FPS drop is substantial. Like single digits. It made combat unplayable.

I played about 2 dozen matches yesterday to see if it was just some anomaly.
Reboots. File integrity scan. made no difference.
So I deleted the files and things went back to normal.

Keep in mind that in my case i have an Intel i7-4790k with the RX 6700 XT.
Maybe having Ryzen avoids this issue.
(Also, despite GPU utilization getting up to ~98%, the CPU hasn't really gone above 70% or so. i hardly imagine this GPU being a bottle neck in this bundle, so maybe that's another clue?)

Bottom line is:
if you're experiencing issues similar to RyoMario90, by all means try the patch.
But if your game play is more similar to what i described originally, and you don't feel like its broke enough, don't try to fix it.
Or, at least if you try and it gets worse, you'll know that you're not alone.

That said, I'll keep an eye on the mod and will try new versions as they come out.

Thanks

EDIT:

forgot to mention one other new graphical glitch after the patch.
the HQ assets took a VERY long time to load upon joining the match.
sometimes they would eventually get loaded. other times half the content on the screen was a blurry mess almost to the end of the match.

Update: I think I've played enough ( 10 hours ) standard PVE and Specials Operations PVE in all tiers to have a conclusion of this mod. As I said before the game runs much better, I'm at the point where it's stable 60FPS all the time on max settings 1080p. I very rarely experience a random 100ms stutter like once in every 3-4 battles. Rendering wise the mod does have slight problems like a few flickering bushes on a few maps which stops after a certain time/distance and one specific building on one specific map, same behaviour as the bushes, The only other rendering issue I encountered once was in my garage one of my tanks turret was the only part that was rendered properly and the chassis was black textures but it was fixed by switching to another tank and switching back. Other than those minor issues the game is running perfectly fine for me and haven't experienced the issues Май нейм из Джефь did. But as he said if your game is running fine then don't bother with this mod, but if the game is completely unplayable like it was for me then definitely give it a try.

Update: Today I was curious if the dlls from the mod that I copied into the game's bin 64 folder were still there and they were not. So who knows how long I have been playing without them, but I did a test, I pasted them again in the bin 64 folder and played a PVE battle, nothing changed, the game was still perfectly playable, then I removed the mod from the game and no change, the game is still running perfectly fine. I'm at the point where I'm confused AF... I honestly don't know WTF is going on anymore, it would be great if a dev explained this phenomena of disappering dll files, unplayable game performance that over time becomes perfectly playable thanks to or not thanks to the dxvk mod... Don't get me wrong I'm happy that the game is now running perfectly fine but I'd like to know the reason behind it.
