LAV-600
Any of you guys play one of these...?? I'm not even sure how I got this thing because I am strictly a tracks guy. At any rate, I have had the LAV-600 in reserve since I got it, but yesterday day I decided to dust it off and play a couple of matches.
I have mixed feelings about it.... On the one hand it has a powerful gun with an excellent 105mm HEAT shell, the turret traverse is very quick after upgrades, plus I have the reload time down to 5.4 secs, and the armor is not bad for a "wheely" thing.

On the flip side, I was always under the impression that one of the main strengths of these wheely things was their high speed and maneuverability. Oddly enough this thing seems a tad sluggish to despite it's "on paper" top speed and acceleration, but the really surprising thing for me is it's turning ability, it really seems lacking to me in this department, and I always thought these wheely's were supposed to be able to turn on a dime. Anyway, i'll play it some more before I make a decision, but I may end up putting it back in reserve, or sell it outright.

Are there any other wheely's at Tier 6 and below that would have decent armor and armament, and race car maneuverability...??

Yeah the turn rate is surprisingly slow, but I guess it makes sense compared to tracks with neutral steering. I never found this line "good". I mean, as you said, nice gun, nice reload, top speed is good on road and without turning, but it's supposed to "reach nice sniping spots earlier", and these sniping spots are also known as "away from the team, get ready to get absolutely wrecked as soon as you get spotted"

when I played the LAV-300 I was so 'mad' how 'bad' a wheel vehicle can be.
slow acceleration, slow turn movement, cheap armor his view range not enough to trust.

the LAV-600 didn't bought yet but I will do, I can buy it just doing 1 tank per tank to 100% before getting new tank.

always trying push to the max limits armored vehicles.
he can reach 100km but not in all maps reaching max 'racing' speed.

mostly what I see LAV-600 users is the steal kills cuz it's reload pretty fast.

I have played a few more matches with it today and I've actually done quite well with it, finished top dog in my team 2 out of 3 matches, and I am learning how to drive it a little better too. lol

But you are right, you can't go brawling with MBT's or ATGM bots, you've got to play smart, but the HEAT shell on this thing will wreck anything if you get a solid hit on them. The fast reload time and turret traverse, plus the gun are clearly the strong points on this thing.

I unlocked the Succuri this morning, and it's a hell of a lot more agile than the LAV.
To be honest, I think the atrocious turning speed is a bug. Like how slowly the ASCOD goes in reverse, it's so exaggeratedly slow that it feels like a bug.

Anyways, I hated the Lav-TDs until I got the improved reduction drive from the Mephisto unlocked. It helps tremendously, sure it takes a retrofit slot, but it's cheap and I find it makes the vehicle much more comfortable to play.

The Lavs are excellent to scoot and shoot from behind hard cover and they can pen everything.

Still, I hate cannon TDs and I don't play them aside from climbing the tree but they weren't a nightmare to grind through.

There are more bugs in this game than a summer evening in a Maryland swamp. lol

Yep. The Succuri I unlocked today has every bit as much firepower as the LAV-600, but is WAY more agile, the biggest problem I am having with it is the sensitivity with regard to speed and turning control. I find myself "over correcting" which leads to running over and into stuff that just slows you down, but I will get the hang of it with a little practice.
