How is late-game Leopard 2?
Currently only have the Leopard 2AV but it seems weak as hell despite the impressive stats. I guess AI might just be good at sniffing out weak spots, but does this line of MBT's get better later on? Just wondering if they're worth the grind.

The leopard 2s are pretty strong frontally and the 2AX is a pretty good tier 10.

Unfortunately its got probably one of the biggest lower plate weakspots.

Its got a good gun though, high damage, and pretty good handling and the vehicle itself has good mobility.

I wouldn't say that Leo2AX has a good mobility. It is fast at top speed but accelerates poorly, and isn't that great at turning. Gun has great accuracy but pays for that with poor DPM. I personally would trade a lot of that unneccessary accuracy for better DPM. Penetration is good but damage is a joke considering it's a 130mm gun. I'm kinda starting to get hang of it but so far it has been a big dissapointment after A5 and A6 which both I liked (but I hate EVO). Leo 2AX is a sniper MBT, a role that really has no place in this game, since TDs are always superior in sniping.

If you don't like 2AV, your likely not gonna like the other Leos. Haven't played that much of my premium 2AV lately, but it used to be perhaps the best Leo2.

Leo in mid tier and high tier are mobile snipers, nothing more. they are wannabe TDs.
they have the best accuracy of all the 5 mbt lines but cant take dmg as they have thin armor.
front armor for A5-X is not mutch to brag about either after it got nerfed whit the B2 global armor nerf. prior ot the nerf it used to have the best frontal armor in the whole game but 0 side and rear armor as a balance aspect.

leo`s starting from tier 7 is best played as a 3rd line sniper.
low and mid tier leos are best played as a TD.

the only exeption is the evolution, but it is a side unlock from the A5 that leads nowhere.
the evo is more fokused at protection then acc and as stuch is a 1st line brawler, but knowing the armor nerf spree that Mail is on, that wont last long.

if u want good armor its the t-90 that currently does that best. ♥♥♥♥♥ just shatters on it, or fails to fuse.

for pvp yes, nothing better then the t90.
in pve t90 is one of the worst mbts you can bring.

What MBT's are good for PvE?

thouse whit the biggest default HP pool, aka challenger and abrams.
(however the chieftains preform horribly in pve and the C1 is a bit of a wild card)

since armor no longer matters in general, you need all the HP you can get in your tank.
the AI`s movment is dumb as hell, but they got 100% acc on the move and stationary in return.

Armor matters, but it's a bit situational and depends on tier. I found that T-64AV is pretty great in PvE because of it's extensive reactive armor.

yea but then you get the T80B that is down right junk, before you get the 80U who is a beast in pvp and soso in pve as it gets insta penned by mbts and light in pve, just like the t90 series does.
3-4 direct hits and the t90 is dead in pve.
while 3-4 hits is all you need for pvp as it is 15v15 and as sutch you are only required to kill 1-2 human tanks, 3-4 hits is just from the first 10 ai tanks in pve. there are still 15-25 more tanks yet to spawn.

never ever belive that armor will protect you in this game. that was before the global armor nerf in B2. everything that had armor got it removed.
it is not right that in lower and mid tier, heat is more effective anti MBT shell then AP, or that any hit frontaly on a t8+ mbt from another t8 mbt/td/light shooting AP is instant pen unless it hit an obscure angle.
the old armor system whit small weakpoints while the rest was unpenetratable was wastly better, it was just balanced wrong.

in pvp you allso have the human factor, aka erros we humans make that makes these armor nerfs not feel so bad, but not in pve. bots dont do mistakes when it comes to shooting.
that is why the only defence left for mbts in pve is its HP pool, and thus challanger and abrams.

when you have memorised the spaws in all the pve maps, and know how to manage aggro, then you can begin to play the other mbt lines in pve.

(and dont throw the junk about angling your armor. that is WW2 doctrine for tanks created in 35-47, AND only added to this game cuz WoT has it and thus it eases the transition for a wot player into aw.
modern mbt doctrine is front straight towards the enemy as the strongest part on an mbt is the front)
