Hey everyone!
I’m RDreams speaking on behalf of ShyGirlTeam and this is our first Devlog! (Something we should have admittedly started quite a long time ago 🤣).

My main objective with these bi-weakly blurbs is to give you direct insider information on what we’ve been doing, what we’re working on, what we will be working on and how things change as we advance.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is kind of something we should have started to do sooner, as we’ve actually been working on Moeka for about a year and a half but, to be quite honest, due to a mixture of fear and lack of knowledge we just kind of worked in secrecy.

So let’s jump into our current situation!

As you’ve probably seen from the videos posts on X/Discord we have a semi functioning tech-demo. Now I’ve used that word quite a few times, but I’d like to explain what we mean by it.

A tech demo is, usually, a non-playable (in the traditional sense) game that focuses on showing off core mechanics and concepts. I’m sure you’ve probably seen other devs showing characters moving around gray block maps, those are usually what tech demos look like.

“But RD, your game has no grey blocks”

Good catch Hawkeye, that’s mainly due to me being a bit too perfectionist and way too pushy (Sorry team!), leading us to overdevelop, what should have been a basic concept, into more of what you’d consider a traditional demo.

Having said that, there is a single map you can play around with. It’s a unity store asset map that I modified myself, eliminating large chunks, adding others, adding elements like vehicles and lampposts, bushes, etc. I tried to focus on the idea of the game, and asked myself “Would this be a good place to expose?” “Can I hide if things get risky?”.

I’m actually really curious to see everyone’s opinion and feedback on the map once the demo is out!

Going back to what we currently have:

• A visually beautiful map that has a lot of care, effort (and HOURS of looking into f*ckin shaders) into it.

• NPCs that spawn in/out, walk around and can detect you.

• Static NPCs that are randomized with each new game.

• A tutorial.

• Unlockable areas and mechanics.

• 3 unique body parts to expose individually (Boobs, butt and pussy).

• The ability to get naked.

• Functioning challenges (around 34 I believe).

• A “perfect” completion mechanic where, if you can complete a challenge from start to finish without being interrupted, you get more points.

• A win/lose condition.

• Basic options (Resolution, Audio, etc).

• 6 languages: English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Russian.

So your next question is probably “Why isn’t this out yet then if it is playable?”.

Valid question. In a perfect world we would have started to release devlogs and playable demos like this from the very start. But we didn’t. This is a great time to segway into-

We’re 4 teammates working on Moeka.

Fali is the producer/co-coder (also the owner of Fantasy Games Publishing, our publisher), Samu is our main coder and Arkaitz, who is our Technical artist and myself as the technical designer.

So said in a less fancy way, two guys code, one of them making sure we don’t do stuff blindly, one guy does the art and I develop the ideas that then become mechanics, while also helping to implement them into Unity.

We also have exterior help from freelancers for UI elements and the music/sound design.

Everything we have made currently costs hard cold cash. Cash we’ve paid from directly out of our wallets and-

Best to rip the band-aid off quickly. Yea, that’s the plan, but don’t click away just yet! Lemme give you the rundown:

• All playable updates will be free during development, no matter if you are on Patreon or not.

• Patreon exclusivity will be limited to elements like closer contact with us, decision making, maybe playtesting new versions a week in advance or something like that

I’m well aware of the… bad reputation Patreons and such have in our little corner of the internet and we have no intention of drawing it out longer than it has to.

All money received will be pushed right back into the project.

Things like specific animations, assets, music and specific types of art are either hard to come by or don’t exist. Animations especially can be a pain to find. On Booth, which is where most of us find these kind of assets, there are a very small handful of masturbation animations, most of all you’ve probably seen before and I feel that seeing them again, in another game, kinda takes the “magic” out of the experience.

Bottom line is, we’ve invested time, effort and our own money to show you a product we honestly believe is worth following/enjoying if you want to see it evolve, get bigger and turn into something you’d legit want to play.

Having said that, once the game hits 1.0 we will be releasing it on Steam and Itch for a fixed price and the 1.0 version will not be handed out for free (except maybe to a certain patreon tier, we’re still considering options there). We want to make things fair not only for you, but for us as well.

Boy-howdy, I can just go on and on. I love this project and this niche and I’m assuming that if you’ve read this far (who tf reads anymore lmao) that means you do as well.

On behalf of the whole team I want to thank everyone who has supported us on our short trip into the public eye so far and hope that you continue to follow my mad ramblings in the future.
