One controller or two?

I know the info on the store page says players share a controller in local co-op, but does it HAVE to be that way? Can two players each use their own controller in local co-op?

No, it doesn't have to be that way. Before you start playing, you are asked which control scheme you would like to use. Keyboard, Single Controller, or Two Controllers (one for each player).
