I know it is hard to explain a feeling, but have you experienced anything specific? Is it the speed of the ball, or how the flippers behave? The weight of the ball somehow? The bounciness of the targets, the ease the ball travels up the ramps?
Thanks
Akos
Other virtual versions I've tried on Pinball arcade, virtual pinball, etc. did not, due to their (often horrible) physics. This was never an easy game in the arcade (i.e. these games were designed to eat your quarters and "unfair" draining wasn't unusual) and the recreation (thankfully) reflects that.
You can't just mindlessly bash the ball around on these sort of tables. You need to learn to catch the ball, take good shots, use the table bumping intelligently and so on.
Did you mean Funhouse plays in a way different from other Williams tables?
need zen meditation to deal
I'm not suggesting the table should play the way it did in Pinball Arcade, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if it doesn't drain like crazy, with straight down the middles off every other missed shot and tons of outlanes.
no request for extra-meditational assistance
Are the freezes happening on Zen physics or on Classic Arcade / Tourney?
Unfortunately not. Zen obviously consider a lot of feedback in making their decisions. I think the complaints about Vol 4 being too difficult played a big role in the direction they took with the physics. For me Vol 4 hit the sweet spot with the ball physics with good speed, weight, bounce and momentum. All I would change is for the flippers to be more like UM's where Zen refined it. UM's ball physics is also preferable for me to Vol 5's.
In the end, they are still making a game so they have to keep the majority of players happy to make the money. Arcade accurate physics is not the goal anymore. The game is still a whole lot of fun and more than enough of a challenge even with the "easier" Classic physics. There is also of-course Classic Tournament physics for more of a challenge.
