Which keys shift gears in The Getaway

So I know that the enter key shifts gears, but when I get video mode which keys shift gears up or down?

launch key shift up, you can do this just before the mode starts. ;)
but there is no key for shifting down unfortuntely (last I checked)

there is a yellow indicator on the playfield for which gear you are in, so that will help if you don't want to go to gear 5

You can shift down - I've got a Steam controller, and its right pad down for that. Don't know what the keyboard key is though.

Also if you shift gear up and down a few times when you lock the second ball where it shows 3 police cars you start the secret mode.

There is no key for shifting down. It's a shame. But the secret mode I started by pressing key for gear up few times.

you can also shift up full gears just a moment before the screen enters video mode then you start video mode full gears/speed
