Stern "Led Zeppelin" Pinball machine.......
Will it ever be possible or likely that these could be DLC?

I'd never say never but it's not likely to get a digital version anytime soon, if at all, due to licencing and contractual reasons. I haven't seen ANY Stern tables appear anywhere since the heyday of The Pinball Arcade, let alone modern Stern titles. Of course there are tables on programs such as VPX but I'm specifically focusing on commercially "for sale" digital tables. There may be a future agreement with either Zen Studios or another developer to get officially licensed Stern titles into the virtual world in one form or another - just don't hold your breath. :pinball_machine:

Thanks for that Max! :)

I also support the never say never phrase! However, I would say it is unlikely in the near future. But I hope, we will be able to make it happen one day, it is a really cool table ;)

Visual Pinball is the only place that this will remotely have a chance to exist.

Zeppelin, Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Guns & Roses - quite the dream pack! There are so many licencing issues, though if I could get a place at the table I'd do my best to make it happen. None are particularly well represented in gaming outside of pinball.

Wow, 6k for a table. I remember in 1998 buying a Yie Ar Kung Fu cabinet and Lethal Weapon pinball game both for $1700 from an arcade that went bankrupt.

The Stern tables released in the last few years have terms with the licensors so that if Zen (or anyone else) gets an agreement with Stern to make tables in future they can pay a fee to the licensors for that without having to chase everyone down again to make another agreement. So, its something that could happen eventually, just likely not in 2021 or 2022 (etc.?).

This isn't the case with all recent Stern tables. And those that do, have a fairly short finite duration of the dual physical/digital shared license.

Business relationship.

Don't honestly lose sight of the fact probably 99% of what you "think" you know is discussed by businesses behind "closed doors" is not for the public domain and only probably 1% of that is "released" for the general public to openly "read"... :pinball_machine:

What a licencing nightmare that wold be!! Though I'd LOVE to see it. At least we have the AC/DC and Ghostbusters tables on Pinball arcade. Both amazing modern tables by Stern. Would be amazing if Jersey Jack would come aboard. Imagine that Willy Wonka table in the new Pinball FX. For now, we'll just have to settle for all those tables using VPX, and their crappy physics engine.
