This is the situation you'd end up in if you managed to buy a key from of those second hand sites, like G2G etc.
Or if you got a key gifted, for example the steam group I play weekly's on, have/had? several tables in the prizes pool. What would happen if someone won a fx2 table but doesn't have the base game.
Is it possible for Zen support to give out a key for the base game?? or how would that even work?
I suppose you could make a desktop shortcut with the same url or type it into the windows search
It definitely works, I checked before posting. As long as the game hasn't been removed from the download DB, you can always install using the steam://run/"AppID" command even if it has been removed from the store.
You shouldn't have to create any kind of shortcut, it will work like any other game once installed.
1) What you suggested allowed me to download and install FX2 (but had to try 3 different browsers as most weren't linked to Steam and did a search instead , ).
2) After that I could activate my tables for FX2 by using my steam keys.
3) End result was those tables appearing automatically in FX3.
Thanks again!
I just mentioned the desktop shortcut, since the installer would put one there anyway (unless you tell it not to), and incase the browser didn't cooperate.
