Cabinet build...How to add nudge?
So I'm in the process of building a cabinet for PBFX3 and other emulators. I plan on using an iPac2 contoller. Originally I was going to add 2 extra buttons for nudge Left and Right. However is there a better solution to get a physical nudge in PBFX3? Other emulators naitivley support a board called FRDM-KL25Z. PinBallFX 3 doesnt. Is there a simple way to make physical nudge work? How do you guys with cabs do it with PBFX3?

I use the FRDM-KL25Z with the pinscape firmware and X360CE to map it as a 360 analog stick, works fine with PFX3
Thanks, good to know.
For making a pinball controller I bought an 'Arduino Micro' which can be programmed as an XBox controller with up to 32 buttons and 7? axis. I'm planning to add two analogue sticks, one for nudging and one for the plunger/backbox or both for nudging. You could also add an accelerometer to this board.

I also have an IPAC2 in the cab as I have an arcade stick integrated but the FRDM-KL25Z also supports buttons and has plunger support.

DofLinx with a KL25Z with Pinscape firmware will also work. Just started setting it up in my cabinet and looks promising. Just have to dial in the nudge values now. The board is simple and for 20.00 bucks it is a cheap soluition.

DofLinx with a KL25Z

What is DofLinx? Does it require programming?
Easiest to just google and read about it. Direct Output Framework (DOF) is a component many people run to enable "toys" in their pinball cabinet (Led's, shaker motors, solenoids, etc) to make Visual Pinball more realistic. DofLinx is an addtional utiliy that lets DOF work with Pinball FX2/FX3 and FuturePinball as well. In the latest version of doflinx the author added the ability to do nudging. The KL25Z is a cheap piece of hardware (around $20.00) that can work with Doflinx.
So, I've just installed my KL25Z and got it working as nudge on VP9, VPX and FP. When I try to set up FX3, I can't seem to have the controls set to keyboard as well as x360 controller for the nudge. Is there a way to just use the 360 for the nudge? I really don't want to have to rewire everything from the ipac. Cheers!
Use X360CE to emulate a 360 controller as i said in my 1st reply in this thread
Yeah, I did that, but do I need to change the control schema from keyboard and mouse to x360? If so, can I still use the controls already on the iPac.
both are active, just make sure the x360ce exe is in the directory where the pinballfx executable is else it willl not work

Ah, that I did not try. Thanks @Gabura, I'll try when I get home.
Thanks, that worked fine. It might take a little while to tweak the response curves, but it's certainly working. Thanks!
Good to hear, there was a old post somewhere with some good settings to try I’ll see if I can find and link it.
Plunger dead zone ( if you have a potentio plunger)

Plunger works fine for me, you just need to configure the right settings. I doubt Zen would ever add support or settings for analog plungers since they are basically DiY and every system is built different.

Stick axis Y = IHSxis 3

Set the anti-deadzone to around 40% (you'll need to trial and error this to get the best number)

Dead zone 2%

Sensitive 95% Invert

Enjoy.
Works great thanks, no more deadzone
Glad it worked out for you, but I just checked my settings and I guess I made some changes at some point, so my actual settings are...

Anti-dead zone: 45%
Dead zone: 2%
Sensitivity: 50% Invert checked
