Cabinet Activation Code
Hello,

I have been trying to obtain a Cabinet Mode Activation Code for a virtual cabinet I am building for over a month now. I have the cabinet running now and have purchased every table available for Pinball FX3. The tables work great so far, but the Cabinet Code would be appreciated. Just wondering if these cabinet codes are even still available and how long it takes to obtain one.

About once a week I have tried one of the following methods to get a code. I have filled out the Cabinet Code web request form multiple times. I have filled out the Zen ask a question web request form. I have sent an email directly to support. I even included a picture of my cabinet on the direct email to support as I see on many forums that this is usually asked for.

In all cases I have received no responses. I don't even know for sure that any requests actually went through. I have checked my Spam folder and there is nothing in it from Zen so its not going there. After a month I tried registering for the Zen forums to post this question there. However, I never received the email that the Zen forum was supposed to send to finish that forum activation so I cannot post there. Then I realized I could post here on the Pinball FX3 Steam Forum. So now I am giving this a shot.

If there is something else I need to do to obtain a code please let me know. If it really does take over a month then I would also like to know. At least then I would know the request was probably received and I just need to keep waiting.

Thanks.

When I requested a cabinet code back in October just for my three-monitor setup, Zsofia writing from the support@zenstudios.com account requested a photograph to "verify that this is not for public use." Possibly you might send a photograph of your setup to that email with an explanation that you'd already filled the form but didn't receive any response and see if that might jump-start things.

I don't recall a delay of more than a day or two between submitting the request and receiving the request for the photo, but I'm sure things vary as it's pretty clearly a manual process. I suppose it's even possible that their web form broke silently.

That determines whether I apply for it or not. :)

Cabinet mode unlocks features so you can build a digital pinball cabinet. It lets you run tables in vertical mode and supports up to 3 screens 1 for backglass, 1 for DMD and 1 for the playfield. Just search for digital or virtual pinball cabinet on youtube.

I'm pretty sure it is just unlocked by default for everyone... that is kind of a dead horse topic for this game. Just adjust the values using the numbers on the keyboard. The screen must be vertical and adjusted in the cabinet settings accordingly for it to work. Sometimes you think the backboard/display isn't working, but really it is just underneath your game client and you need to move your game client to see it/ adjust your display settings.

You need to request a code, I had to request one too for my cabinet to unlock it.

The cabinet mode is definitely locked in Pinball FX3 as when you click the cabinet icon it requests an activation code. I did fill out the request form at https://www.pinballfx.com/?page_id=7754 multiple times with no response. I also have manually sent a request and photo of the machine directly to the support@zenstudios.com email account. Again, no responses received. Not really sure what else I can do other than post here and wait.

Akos from zen will probably notice this post, he is actvice on the forum during weekdays. You could also post @ zenstudios own forum (i think its forum.zenstudios.com)

I actually tried posting to forum.zenstudios.com before posting here. However, after registering for the Zen forums to post this question there I never received the email that the Zen forum was supposed to send to finish that forum activation. So I registered on this Steam forum, received the registration email and posted here.

Hi there,

hm interesting. We had a small delay during the Holiday Season but I believe normal cabcode sending is back up.

Managed to find your email, sent you the code. Not sure what got thrown into the works there.

Also, epic picture

Thank you for sending the code. Unfortunately, I checked my email and spam folder and I still have not received it. Maybe the ISP is blocking it before it even gets to me. I double checked my settings and have no blocking setup. I have never had a problem getting emails before.

I did see a forum post somewhere indicating that this had occurred before with some people with another ISP. Can I get you another email address to try to send it to? I don't want to post it to a public forum. Can I just send another request to the support email address with an alternate email address?

Thanks again.

I sent a new request with a new email address and received a code. Looks like there is something on my ISP blocking emails for some reason. Anyway, Thank You.

Interesting - maybe you should send Zen a message with who your ISP is - might be helpful to someone else in future.

I have a code (for running 2 monitors on my desktop), but it resets itself everytime I play on my laptop and I have to enter the code again on my desktop (all the position settings are retained).

Hello Akos. Friend invite sent.

I have seen a virtual pinball machine in a store that I am thinking of buying, but I need to know that I will be able to link my account so that I have access to all of the 85 tables that I currently have in PFX3.

I don't currently have a cabinet mode key either, so I would need to be sure I could obtain one of those as well. :)

I too have sent in multiple request with not one single response from Zen. I would like to play and add the tables to my Pinball X which is using VP9 and VP10 tables. I feel like there is nobody from Zen who reads the email request.

Hi guys, not sure what's the deal here and where do these requests go.

If everyone in this thread can send me a mail to akos at zenstudios dot com I can search for your emails to see if we got your requests or if there is some fault in the system we need to repair.

Thank you and sorry

Hi Akos, my circumstances are similar to those described by our colleagues. I have contacted you by filling in the form from the game and I sent an email to Zen support without any response. I have been a faithful follower of your products for years both in console and PC, a little disappointed by not getting response from you. You already have my email: donjesusamante@gmail.com
a cordial greeting
