Looks about right to me...
Haven't had a look at PZ yet, but in general, when someone says the ball is "too light and too fast" I get confused about what they mean. Because typically a fast ball means its heavy (because the table has a steeper angle, means more gravity, means heavier balls that moves faster.)
EDIT:
Yes... I have to agree it is way to fast even in ZEN mode. This table was very controllable... the ball seemed to be almost in slow motion.
I remember i got both balls up the main ramp during the jackpot round.. and it was smooth as glass. They got stuck .. lol. had to call the bartender over to reset the table.. and she gave me another buck.
This is certainly not as smooth and just a tad too fast.. compared to the original.
I'm curious at the zen table angle.
Another EDIT: I tried out Attack from Mars.. another table that I've actually played.. and that is more in line with the fluidity of both black rose and this one at this point.
Black rose.. on the serve should bounce over to the other flipper with zero interaction .. on the real table that was one of the cool aspects of it.
I'm sure these will be honed, in due time. At this point Zen has gained quite a bit of trust from this player.
Thanks also for removing the 'censorship' which really has no place in gaming.
Thaks...
Thanks..
THHHHAANNKKKS.
Faith restored, even if that was the plan. :)
I noticed it was fast, didn't feel like it was too fast to me and I did as well as with the Pinball Arcade version.
That pinball you are playing is probably old.
There is NO WAY any of the Zen tables are too fast.
Well mantained real tables' boards will be always a bit faster (with more lightning fast spikes) than Zen's classics.
Sorry to burst your bubble but that pinball machine you played seems to have been really poorly setup.
Remember people that just because you've played a particular machine once or twice doesn't mean it was properly setup according to specifications. It may also have been in bad shape overall.
Personally I think Zen got the speed spot on.. though I have played this very same pinball machine that was setup to have a much less steep angle and flipper power was definitely not as good either (it was annoyingly low powered flips). Still, the faster gameplay really suits this table in my opinion.
What he said.
One can easily think of a scenario where the machine is leaning to the left/right , and the following adjustments messes with the steepness of it, even on a properly setup machine, if they didn't think of adjusting for the steepness as well as the leaning.
If you think a table is too fast, try to play a few games in tournament settings, then go back to zen singleplayer. the difference is huge. I always feel like the ball is being slowed down by excessive air resistance. ;)
