Real multiple monitors support
Over the last two years I started two threads regarding multiple monitors issues:

Add an option to select the startup monitor
https://steamcommunity.com/app/442120/discussions/0/1520386297687656465/

ALT+ENTER doesn't work anymore on my second monitor
https://steamcommunity.com/app/442120/discussions/0/1729828401693594233/

None of these threads received an 'official' answer.
So I'm trying my luck again...

Your game is very polished except when it comes to multi-monitors support:
- There is no option to select the startup monitor (can be worked around).
- It is impossible to play full screen on a secondary portrait monitor (can also be worked around check discussion below).
- If you want the backglass on another monitor then you have to enable the cabinet mode and:
- It requires activation code
- It requires the user to provide the backglass pictures
- It requires the input of coordinates and sizes in pixels
- Lots of fiddling around
- In the end you get a static picture backglass with a dot matrix display somewhat in the correct place...

All this is incomprehensible when compared to the polishing level of the rest of the game.
I would expect a simple option available to multi-monitors users like :
- Startup Monitor : <Display 1>
- Backglass Monitor : <Display 2>
Add gfx settings for each display and that is it ! From there the game should do the rest: One camera pointing at the playfield on Display 1 and one camera pointing at the backglass on Display 2. This way we would even have animated backglasses...

Why does FX3 seems so lacking in the multi monitors department ? Is there something planned for this part of the game ?
Thank you for reading and for a great game.

There's a section for multiple displays, and the second option has the playing field on the second monitor (NOT primary). Still unclear how to do this myself but I'm a newbie. But does this at least mean it's possible to play fx3 on a second monitor without having to mess with reassigning primary and stuff just for fx3?

The actual state of this is very poor... a static image for backglass when playing Safecracker is very... sad.

Discovered third party multiple monitor software to get by until it's done through the game. MultiMonitorTool and UltraMon seem good.

found this thread because I'm infuriated by my inability to

1) grab game window from primary display
2) move it to secondary portrait-mode display
3) hit alt-enter and get pure resolution

I can get a secondary display running at "full screen" but the resolution is nowhere near its native 1080p, looks absolutely fuzzy and gross this way. my only built-in solution is to run it in windowed mode just shy of 1080p resolution. do I have to use third-party tools to run this at native full screen? I'm not trying to do cabinet mode or whatever. I just want to easily tell this game to display on a secondary monitor at its native resolution.

Here's another workaround for anyone who doesn't need their primary monitor at all while playing FX3: you can easily disable it via Windows' built-in keyboard shortcut before launching the game. Just press [WIN]+P and change from "Extend" to "Second screen only".

Instructions
  1. Press [WIN]+P to bring up the "Project" UI.
  2. Select "Second screen only".[1]
  3. Launch FX3.
[1] There are three ways to select the mode:
  1. Keep the [WIN] key held down and press P multiple times to cycle through the available options, letting go of [WIN] when the appropriate one is highlighted. (My preferred method)
  2. Use the up/down arrow keys then hit [ENTER] or [SPACE].
  3. Use the mouse to click the desired mode.
After you're done playing, use the same [WIN]+P shortcut to switch back from "Second screen only" to "Extend".

Notes
  1. Since you're turning off the signal to your primary display, audio will no longer be heard from it. This only affects those who use their display for sound.
  2. The terms "Project", "Extend", and "Second screen only" are the labels the latest version of Windows is using as of this post and could change with future updates and/or versions of Windows.

Hope this helps someone... also hoping that proper support is added to the game.
