Zen are taking longer than the 6 week cycle Mel, the Zen representative, said on the Blahcade podcast before the Volume 4 release. I think it is probably taking longer because they are upgrading the flipper physics of the previous volumes (and the new volume) to volume 4 flipper physics. It seems we will only get new Zen originals in the new year and the next Williams / Bally table packs will likely be from the six remaining non-licensed DMD tables including; Tales of the Arabian Nights, No Good Gophers, Cirqus Voltaire, Cactus Canyon, JackBot, WHO Dunnit.

Hi Vic Viperman,
I love what you did in Gradius V - it is probably my favorite shoot 'em up ever.
Regarding the new table pack, they're coming.
Thanks for the continued interest - we won't let you down!

actually, tables (real ones) in FX3 release faster than it was in TPA: with V5. before october looks like it will be 16 tables in a year.

Wow, not many people know about gradius 5 on PS2 or even know that my screen name is, as you said, referencing vic viper T301 from Gradius.

I also agree, Gradius 5 is an incredible game, one of the best shoot em ups ever... a lot of people even don't know that G5 was in fact made by Treasure, NOT Konami. Konami allowed them to use the Gradius license, but because the Treasure logo was not featured prominently on the box or in game, most are erroneously under the impression that it was made by Konami.

I tip my hat to you good sir, thank you for the reply, and keep up the good work on Pinball FX.

Treasure is my all-time favorite video game company.
I actually never really liked the previous Gradius games to be honest - I'm partial to vertical shmups. When I discovered that Gradius V was made by Treasure (in collaboration with G.rev, just like the mighty Ikaruga), of course I had to have it. Gradius V is magic, I tell ya!

Keep your eyes peeled for news on Pinball FX - it will be good!

Another Gradius V fan here, the soundtrack is absolutely superb - I had no idea Treasure developed it for Konami!

Wish they'd release an official PC port though it does play quite well via emulation, most of the visuals already render out nicely to 2160p.

I'm a big treasure fan too. Recently bought "Bangai-O Spirits" for DS, but I have no idea how to play this game)

As for the FX3 update: hoping for Fun House, but Zen is kinda focused on DMD tables I suppose. I hope they do older stuff eventually.

Zen has a big Star Wars Switch push right now, so it'd make sense to focus on that for now, since, after all, Star Wars Pinball will be the first Star Wars release on that console.

they have several "pushes" at same time - like castle storm 2, operencia, and new Williams license which was obviously not a "free of charge" acquisition, so here is no reason to shelf it just because of another projects are in development - this is not how business works, by such logic other companies and publishers would not release their sport game because they have another sport games - ZERO LOGIC which is proved by real world facts.
just stop repeat same mantras from same people of community.
