Vertical Monitor Support
Thinking of buying gaming monitor that has rotating stand. Does this game work with monitors in the horizontal position?

Look in the upper right of the menu for the icon. Can also try to use the monitor setup screen to set it to portrait mode.

After rotating your monitor just change the view in your video card's control panel and launch the game.

You can also get a monitor with a Vesa mount. You can attach a monitor arm to the Vesa mount. A monitor arm would allow you landscape/portrait/cabinet (standing)/cabinet (sitting) views.

I bought one but it turns out I play best in regular landscape.

I have worked out a way to make that possible if you're willing to put up with pillarboxing (black bars on the sides). As you narrow the horizontal width of the display the camera increasing moves into a top down view.

Setup a few custom resolutions which maintain the full pixel height of your screen. Using 1215x2160 I get a 16:9 portrait view, 1350x2160 achieves a 16:10 portrait view. Here's a comparison shot to illustrate...

You don't have to go quite so narrow, just make sure it goes beyond 1:1 (i.e. 2160x2160).

Pinball fx3 has a cabinet mode you can request a code from them and than mess around with a second monitor as your backglass and your main display rotated

You can change the orientation within the settings of pbfx3 to fit the monitor in vetical /portrait mode. That's what I did. Just change the orientation before you turn your monitor. Fits the screen perfectly and a much better way to play as the whole table is in view. You might need to request cabinet mode to access the orientation setting though.
