I play on Xbox One and use the standard Xbox One controller. I find that it is easier to do with the analogue trigger buttons compared to the digital shoulder buttons. Like I said in my post you quoted, I can do the flipper tricks but reliability is still too low to build it into a strategy. There are only certain times on certain tables when I have a specific goal in mind.
Also keep in mind, as I mentioned in my first post, that vol 1 - 3 (especially 3) I found live / drop catches easier and tip passes almost impossible while for vol 4 tip passes I found more possible. It also additionally depends on the table.
A few examples are;
- on Medieval Madness I usually let the ball dead flipper over once ejected from the castle, but occasionally I try to live catch it when I want to shoot at merlin's saucer (example 21:07).

- on Theatre of Magic, when the ball gets ejected from the chest during midnight madness I try to live catch it on the left flipper as you can then bring it under control quicker to shoot at the chest again (example 22:10).

- on Hurricane I use tip pass quite often during the mouth task to keep the ball under control (example 11:51).

None of these I can do reliably, but when I get it right, it feels awesome and it is usually in your favour ;-).
A small point of interest; In some discussion's I have had, it has been explained to me that on PC Steam, on a higher frames per second i.e. 120, it is potentially easier to do the flipper tricks as your window of opportunity for pulling off the tricks are bigger i.e. you have more frames to play with, compared to Xbox One on 60 fps. I have no idea if this is true, but I'll just mention it as something possibly to consider when looking at this.
This sort of attitude is exactly what we need! Please, Zen, price Williams S2 Vol 1 at least 30 EUR!
Ouch.
Nice looking cabinet, playfield art and blackglass? Check.
Cool sound bites, DMD animation and music? Check.
Boring 'fan' shot layout? Check.
Modes that are a bit samey and just have you accumulate stuff? Check.
I just don't get the love. I never got into the gameplay.
You really expect two giant pieces of artwork to get paid for with the Elvira tables when they won't pay for a small one on CFtBL? Zen turned a one-piece bathing suit into a dress. What do you think they'd do to Elvira's cleavage?
Halloween is something we look at with bemusement here in South Africa as just about every American TV show has to have a Halloween special. In reality only the rich and entitled in their gated estates pretend that it is actually a thing ;-)
I meant rich and entitled in their gated estates in South Africa... but, if the shoe fits, wear it! Who am I to judge...
So people who were unwilling to pay $5 per table (uncensored) on Pinball Arcade, or $30 a season, will pay $10 for 2 censored tables?
BTW, the 'really' expensive tables like The Addams Family, Twilight Zone, Terminator 2, Dr. Who, Star Trek, Star Trek the Next Gen, how much will they cost and be censored at the same time?
The remaining unlicensed tables are Tales of the Arabian Nights, Cirqus Voltaire, Cactus Canyon, JackBot, NoGood Gofers, I think, so expect those in Williams Season 2.
