But reading "Blood, Sweat and Pixels" made me realise that devs arent always evil, so I'm just longshotting over here like a madman :) Nonetheless, always happy to see more games in the eShop.
I don’t don’t an objection to paying something to get your tables on the different platforms as I get that you have put the work in to transfer the game across. But at the same time, maybe a 50% discount for those buying again on another platform would be nice
Linking save data has nothing to do with the OP question. You still must buy BOTH versions.
For the OP, maybe GeForce Now app and an Android tablet/phone might give you some of the portability you are looking for.
it's not true and it's not fair to Zen.
Steam and Nintendo must host the content. This includes running servers and dedicated storage space for the games and paying for the bandwidth to deliver the data when you want to download your games. The running cost for providing this service is why Steam + Nintendo take a cut of the sale price for the license.
What you're asking is to be able to buy the game on one platform and somehow convince the other platform to cover the costs of hosting the content even though they don't get a cut.
You could make an argument for a reduced fee on the second system which acknowledges that you've bought a license from Zen for the content but it is reasonable to pay the host for managing the shop: but its not "lazy" on Zen's part if it's not possible to negotiate those terms with all the providers.
cheers
