Go up to Mek-kamoses' Spire in Africa and to the left of the talking head of Mek-kamoses is the Golem trainer.

Note: Golems are lame and a waste of time.
i know that they are kinda useless, but i stil want one just for funsies^^
and i didnt know the spire was still there in the enhanced version^^
I gave them a go just to test it out in Enhanced and yeah, I don't see why I would ever use them lol. Sure they can collect resources, but they're absolutely terrible at it.

Thematically it's so cool though, I wanted to do this whole golem overlord thing but just... it didn't reward.
The same trainer is in Valeria's Castaway camp on Siptah. It's just a short hop from Sepermeru.

HA! I get that! I just put them on display in my clan's bases.

Content-wise nothing has changed from the UE4 version of the game (although, there seems to be a bug in the Hanuman's Grottos dungeon with the boss and chest not spwaning).

It isn't a bug. Fucom removed him. No explanation why.
Same as the guarenteed Berserker spawn at the Mounds of the dead. Gone. Again no explanaton why.

IMO they're fantastic to passively collect resources around your camp that you would otherwise ignore, and then still utilise...

I've got 2 collecting branches because the area around my camp has lots of dead wood that keeps respawning, so they not only improve the aesthetics by keeping the area free of dead wood, but the branches can then be turned into wood at a carpenter's bench...

Same can be done with scythe golems and plant fibre, which you always need, yet generally don't need all that much all the time, so by the time you do need it, they've generally collected a substantial amount, saving you the need to farm any....

I've also got one just collecting coal, which helps keep my furnace running without me having to actively farm coal for it...

So, yeah, they don't produce massive amounts in a short period, but over time, their passive gathering does add up when you'd otherwise not have gathered anything, anyway...

Further to this, when you actually start using proper Iron golems, they're actually not too bad in combat when there's a couple of them in combat... Sure, they're not something you'd take as a companion, but for camp defence, they're actually not bad...

I like them thematically but i dont think ive ever gotten more than 100 of a resource from a golem..since the area unloads in singleplayer

Damn. I see that now in the patch notes. I wonder why

I'm fine with this change as I can sell my many Berserker's the rubes on the servers.
There is no reason to NOT use golem when all of the parts come for free, especially crystalline.

I'm on a private server, but even then, they don't collect anything unless I am close by...

Despite that, I still think their passive gathering is worth it... Just set them, and forget them for a while, and check every day or two...

I literally had my 2 collecting branches fill up their inventory at least twice over the course of a couple days of renovating...

And then there's this... I've literally not built a single golem part, outside of the Iron Slag golem, just to see how it looked compared to the others, yet have 8-10 golems all up, plus parts for at least another few more which I'll assemble once I've relocated to my new castle...

IIRC, it was because of some exploits.
^^^Yes. Because of PvP and the special brand of players who “play” in that mode.
Lots of things were either removed or nerfed over the years due to their exploits/complaints and whatnot.
Golems generally are only useful if you play on a pve server
