It is a weird yet legit question. I cut the answer short: you have to outweight your benefits with the reduced feeling of satisfaction from having achieved the same without "cheating".
That being written, changing your multiplayers, any of the game from vanilla, can be already considered "cheating". So do what you want and play the way you have most fun with. Just be careful and understand what I have written before. If e.g. instead of crafting by normal means after harvesting you just spawn items into existence, you get very quick to the point where you might be too used to that. And that is a big spoiler for your overall fun. So make a calculation and be careful not to spoil your game that way.
If it is too much for you, try instead of blatant cheating to increase the multipliers. 4x-5x as much yield per harvest, triple or quadruple thrall tame time, some mods which assist you in solo play like Better Thralls. You can configurate your game very enjoyable in single player without straight forward /kill enemy in front of you. Feel free to check out the mods I have mentioned here https://steamcommunity.com/app/440900/discussions/0/6790907198720605915/
If you do it good, you notice quick: no need for ruining your game by straightforward cheating. If you enjoy the game solo, why not e.g. bringing 3-7 thralls with you helping you fight bosses which are designed for multiplayer? And some things you perceive as "grindy" now are better later on, if you know the mechanics. I am running with a Gazelle pet and thralls as escort. The Gazelle pet can carry 4x5 items without slowing down. That and a 4x harvest multiplier, and you will feel single player is better balanced. Think about that.
Tho getting resources is the easiest part, Bearer thralls are dropping their SupplyBags, hunt a few of them and you won't need to mine iron/steel/crystal ever.
I've cheated in SP mode, but in doing so, it takes away from the satisfaction of working to accomplish something meaningful. (Even if it's just a simple A-frame hut).
So in learning from that, I avoid it now.
It's a choice, but learn from it if you can.
