i have same issue, stuck on add bone to grinder, using eewa and other mods. i finally added corrupted bone to grinder and it progressed. then on add plant fiber it got stuck again and added plant material (or what ever its called) and it progeressed again. now stuck on add coal to fluid press, so.... lol
probably a mod issue, hope this lil bit helps

not sure this helps, but when it did this to me, i found sometimes i had to drag and drop the item into the target,and in other instances it would only work if i double clicked to move it. once i had to split the stack when adding it to get it to register.

kinda maddening, it wasn't consistent between the different steps. there are a couple that mess with me every time, dismantler is one of them. i just try every conceivable way to move it, and cross my fingers. sometimes throwing it out of my inventory into a chest or something and picking it back up again before trying to move/add it to the target.

i'm running no mods. and i saw the youtuber wak4863 have some problems on his latest run, some of that was getting ahead of the steps though.

i have noticed that the proxies the progress the journey have some part of the name required, ie calls for "plant fiber" accepts dry plant material, plant is the common
next calls for bones accepts corrupterd bones common bones
stuck on coal can find anything with coal in its name to substitute :}

i figured it out, u have to put charcoal in the fluid press instead of coal, and it progresses. i think u have to do the chief and master chief to be able to make the charcoal in the alchemical bench, hope this helps someone :)

I completed Dismantler a few months ago.

Mine is asking me to but human flesh in and press the play button….. there is no play button! Mine press just presses whatever I put in it on its own! I think the trigger is the play button that does not exist! These are so frustrating!

any mod that changes stack size, will mess with Journey Steps, I have had to remove a few and do it then, add them again, Grinder was the biggest one, with add stone and add bone.
