i only play single player and i dont want it to be large more like a meduim size base and everything in one and the only dlcs i have is seekers of dawn and derketo and am not getting any of that store items, screen shots are welcome

The free workshop content 'Northern Timber 3.0.13' contains not only the rough and gloomy building elements but also Stockade / Murayama paper walls and other Japanese style building elements.
Maybe you can use this for your idea.

I wish there was at least one good book on Japanese castle construction theory.

It's just a shame we don't really have a good map yet that offers vast open grasslands.
