Slave Problems and Work Benches
Hi, I apologize in advance, I'm Italian and I'm using the translator, I play on PC in a private PvE server
I'm trying to place the slaves at the Workbenches but I can't put the slave I want in the Workbench I chose. They also place themselves in others where I don't want them to be placed and I can't remove them from the Workbench.
I tried to close the workbench to all the slaves but when I reopen it to place the one I chose, I also find an unwanted one. I would like to be able to remove the slaves from a station to replace them with the new ones but I don't know how to do it.
Also because the T4 slaves are not found right away and when I finally find one, I would like to be able to replace it with the old one.
Please someone help me.
Thank you very much everyone

You no longer have to place crafters into workbenches. The entire system is automatic. You simply need to place the crafter anywhere in the base and ALL compatible workbenches will automatically detect it.
If you get better ones later, they will show up instead, you don't need to manually replace them.

Thank you so much for your feedback and for your time.
Unfortunately, it is not exactly like that, it is true that they place themselves, but not always in the right place.
Some Lv 4 slaves have different specifications indicated by the blue symbol, or some cooks if placed in the Fermentation Barrel give more recipes. (Lone Fisherman in the Wastes)
So how do I replace a T4 slave with another T4?

Both T4 thralls will show in the workbench. You just click on the icon of whichever thrall you want to use.

Yes this is true but as I was trying to explain I find myself with already 2 slaves in the benches but often the second one has nothing to do with it and it is also a T4.
So how should I replace it with the one I have been looking for for hundreds of hours?
Now that I have found the right one, there are already 2 and I can't remove the one I would never have put, like a blacksmith who has positioned himself at the artisan's bench and would not have died of being there.
thanks

Like I said above.. it's fully automatic..
Every compatible crafting bench in a very large range around a crafter thrall will detect it.
If you have more than one of the same type of crafter, the bench will show the highest tier one. If you have different types of Tier 4 ones, all of them will show up and you can click on the one you want to use for crafting.
You cannot interfere with it in any way, all you have to do is place a crafter thrall (the same way you place fighters, from the actionbar) anywhere in your base.
you can right click on a duplicate you don't want and choose break bond from the options wheel. This will delete the unwanted npc from your base, if lone fisherman is the only cook you want to be available.

There is no need to replace (unless your server is capped at X amount of thralls).
I'm not a 100% sure but I think a thrall will cover a 50 square foundation radius. Could be less, not sure. Irrespective of the area, a Blacksmith (or any other crafting thrall) will automatically assign themselves to every bench that they can attribute to. For example you can have a Blacksmith and an Armourer assigned to a Tinkers Bench. Or an Armourer and a Tanner to a Tanners bench.
The downside of the Living Settlements is that most of the time all the crafting benches are looking empty. The Thralls are sleeping, noshing, or playing tiddly-winks, but . . they are all still at their work benches. It's like you or I working remotely from home.

I thank everyone for their patience and information, but I fear that the translator is confusing.
To give a practical example, at the Garrison Armor Bench my T4 Carpenter was positioned but I need the two T4 Armorers to be positioned there (one with the blue Shield and one with the blue hammer). Now I don't want to "break the chain" of my Carpenter and eliminate him, because I need him, how can I put Fia there?
She didn't go there by herself and even if I position her manually she is replaced, nor is she added. And so on for other benches. How do I do it??
Thank you very much

I think you misunderstand how the system works.
Thralls only go to the workstation to play animations, that is entirely visual and has no effect on crafting.
So it doesn't matter which thrall is physically standing near the station, the item crafted will still use the thrall that is selected on the UI in the little box on the center panel when you open the station, even if that thrall is currently in a different part of your base.

You open your Garrison armor bench and select the blue hammer (temperwright) or the blue shield (shieldwright) and it will use your correct thrall being FIa and whoever your shieldwright is.
And because Age of heroes released and living settlement mechanic with it your thralls wander around doing random things like eating, sitting, sleeping and working on benches means that your thrall is not always on bench working it can do other thing i mentioned earlier.
Also your T4 carpenter does not do anything on armor bench.

The problem is that among the 2 slaves selectable at the gunsmith's bench there is a gunsmith and a carpenter, or at the furniture craftsman's bench only the smelter is selectable.
I apologize, maybe the translator is confusing when I write about slaves, I'm not talking about those who are physically at the bench, but those that I can select when I open the bench menu.
I don't know why the Carpenter or the Smelter are in the menus of those two workbenches.
I hope I was clearer, I apologize and thank you again for your patience.
So I would like to be able to have a carpenter in the menu of the Furniture Bench and not a smelter and so on in other workbenches, but I don't give them away even though I have them at home and even though they are all Lv 4
Thanks

Thralls that make weapons and armor (blacksmiths, carpenters and armorers) give bonuses to what they make. All other crafting thralls may have extra recipes but primarily craft faster.

Since there are no +3 chairs, which ever thrall provides the greatest speed bonus will be selected on the Artisans bench. In your case this is your smelter, but it could be a cook, alchemist or tanner.

This is the list of all thralls and stations they work when you have captured T4 thrall of all professions.

Tinker bench ( T4 armorsmith temperwright, scoutwright and shieldwright).

Blacksmith bench (T4 blacksmith bladesmith, edgesmith and tempersmith).

Arrmorsmith bench (T4 temperwright, scoutwright and shieldwright)

Tortures bench (T4 driver and overseer)

Furnace (T4 smelter)

Casting table (T4 armorsmith temperwright, scoutwright and shieldwright).

Saddlers worktable (t4 temperwright, scoutwright and shieldwright)

Wheel of Pain (T4 driver and overseer)

Dyers bench (T4 alchemist)

Firebowl cauldron (T4 alchemist and T4 cook)

Alchemist table (T4 alchemist)

Artisan table (furniture maker) (T4 smelter and T4 tanner) This is odd one no T4 carpenter.

Tanner table (T4 temperwright, scoutwright and shieldwright) another odd no T4 tanner.

Carpenter table (T4 carpenter builder, bowmaker and fletcher)

Tannery (T4 tanner)

Bonfire, camp fire and stove (T4 cook)

Fermentation barrel (T4 alchemist and T4 cook)

Thaumaturgy bench (T4 sorceror)

Religion altars (T4 priest, seneschal. guardian and confessor)

This is taken from my own game with every t4 profession thrall captured and working on my base. If you see example your carpenter in armorsmith station then you are missing one of the T4 armorers and carpenter is there to fill until you find missing T4 thrall (scoutwright?)

Thank you all so much for your patience and information.

But how can I now use all three skills (blue symbols) in the various Workbenches?
Before, with the old system, I replaced them or built more identical benches, how do I do it with the new system without "breaking the chain"? Do the Workbenches accept 3 Slaves in the menu?
Thanks a lot

Several people already answered that question... if you have more than one T4 thrall with blue symbols, they will ALL show up in the bench and you can select which one to craft with.
