Problem is, it's not my server, so I do not have admin access to do such thing.
So, this is somewhat a surprise to me since I ignore the journey steps.
(needless distraction).
The journey steps teach you how this game works, they are basically extended tutorials with eh rewards. Some are quite nice, some are irrelevant once you have them, and some are ridicules. "I went through all that for a freaking incense burner?????". But hardly needless.
It's just a personal preference of mine since when this game first started, it didn't have those (imho) annoying journey steps. It felt more like survival to me, although it still does but not quite like it once was.
The game always had a Journey system, but they used to award nothing but XP and revealing the next tier of Journeys when you finished the current tier. It was also kind of weird, because you could do late game Journeys out of order from the beginning if you already knew the requirements. (Like, drinking the Yellow Lotus Potion was intended to be very late game, but you can pretty much do that on day one.) It got reworked at some point, because it was a little too easy for a new character to power level just by going through the motions, and they wanted to give more meaningful rewards. I generally like the new system, but it's sad that so many of them seem to be glitched every other update.
