Worth getting?

I played age of conan unchained in the hay day of funcom, is this game still worth a try?

You'll probably enjoy it if you like the brutality of AoC. Certainly has its fair share of bugs, but I have found fun in public, private, and solo sessions. Set the expectation that you will need to start over from server to server - but it's a survival game at its roots so this is to be expected. Getting to max level isn't particularly hard and unique loot pieces aren't particularly hard to find once you are at max level and decently geared.

DUDE! get it and get the coolest mods! its def adds more to the game. I would start with simple mods that add weapons armor, and QoL.
Avoid the new maps / quests stuff at least until you complete the main map. I'd feel like the new map revamps would be too confusing for a new player.

Get it on sale. It's a decent game, with a lot of content... but it's buggy (though the devs have recently said that they're gonna concentrate on fixing the bugs) and the content releases have slowed from a torrent to a slow drip. Even the battlepass has been taken out-back and ended... which was really the only thing that kept me playing because it's been a while since we got any proper new dungeons (just a few tiny ones, some small events, a boss arena and a castle to climb over the walls of and defeat using cheese).
